Jeff and I had an awesome date night last night!
We went out to Chinese Food for dinner (yum)! Then we drove over to Berkeley to the Berkeley Rep Theater and saw one of the last few shows of American Idiot.
For those of you who don't know, American Idiot is a musical based on Green Day's album of the same name. Most of you know, I am a huge Green Day fan, and have been since Middle School. So in other words, I had HUGE expectations of this show...
It not only MET my expectations, it EXCEEDED my wildest dreams!!! This was hands-down the BEST show I've EVER seen on a stage!!! Sadly, it only runs through November 15th, they've already extended it 3 times because of demand, but this time all the signs say "MUST END November 15th!!"
The voices, the harmonies, the choreography, the overall story of it...I was in heaven, and we want to go back, but all the shows up until the 15th are sold out.
It was literally one of the best experiences ever, and I am so glad I could share it with my husband, because I know he enjoyed it just as much as I did...
OH, and did I mention we were in the FRONT ROW?? Oh yes, it was amazing. (btw, if you ever do feel like seeing a show at the Berkeley Rep, keep in mind, from what I could tell, there were NO bad seats at all
