I know I'm super late on this, but I've been really busy this weekend.
For the longest time, I've been anti-politics. I've only voted in like one or two elections since I've been legally able to vote. And honestly, as bad as it sounds, I've never been informed on anything I've voted for, and one time I even voted a certain way just to piss off my mom. (Governator).
But this time, this presidential election, I know in my heart and mind, and there is NO question that I am voting for Barack Obama.
I have never watched a presidential speech, or a debate, or an acceptance speech, or anything like that. But I watched Obama's acceptance of the Democratic Nomination, and I watched the whole 40-something-minute thing...intently! Not to mention, I didn't just happen upon it, after I had missed it when it actally happend, I found it online to watch it later. That may mean jack-nothing to all of you, but trust me, you should be proud of me, cuz I am.
On another note...
We had a great weekend. We went to the lake, and got to hang out with my bestie Amy, her hubby Troy, her sister Christy, and her boyfriend/Amy and Troy's roomate Mike. We went to the LC Fair on Friday night and watched part of the Demolition Derby, rode some rides, and had some awesome fair food on a stick Then we went back to the house and played Monopoly and Life (the new versions that are all electonic and what not) then we went to bed at like 7am.
The next day we got up super late, went to our usual breakfast place the Main Street Cafe, and later that night we bbq'd and drank some more, then Jeff and I came home and he had to work today.
Funny story about the Main Street cafe. If you ever go, you have to ask to have the waiter Q. He's the BEST waiter ever. We always request him. It started out because all the other waitresses really suck. They're extremely slow, but that aside, it's just a given that when we go, no matter where they seat us, Q is our waiter. He goes above and beyond, always. It pisses off the other wait-staff, but oh well, maybe they'll do their job better. Anyway, I digress, if you go, ask for him.
And I think that's quite enough, I've bored you all to death and now I'm gonna go. Talk to you all later!

Incidentally, I threw a fit until I got greasy food on a stick. That was the only good part. I actually ate nothing but salad for the whole two days prior to that, gearing up for nasty-delicious fair food... and only stayed long enough for chickenonastick.
Sorry we missed you, I really do want to see you guys. We will just have to make a trip tp P-Town. Josh has weekends off, so whenever you guys do too, let me know, we are only an hour away
I'm glad you guys had fun. I'm sorry I missed seeing you guys; seems like my current thing at the lake is having nothing ever work like it's supposed to.
And that was a helluva speech.
