Our weekend was WONDERFUL! Honestly couldn't have asked for a better one!
We slept in on Friday, then got to San Francisco about 2 and checked into our motel room. Then we drove around for awhlie just looking at the buildings. Ended up going to the Japanese Tea Gardens, and I fell in LOVE. I hope we can make our backyard look like that when we get our own place!!
After that we drove to the ocean and just kinda watched people surfing, and flying kites and what not until we were starving to death. Then we headed back to the Sony Metreon to get some tri tip at our favorite place, the Buckhorn. While we were there we shopped around a bit, and got really cute pictures taken in one of those silly little booths.
At about 6:30ish we went to Pier 39 and shopped around a little there. At the Hard Rock Cafe gift shop I got an AWESOME Green Day Tshirt, Jeff got some really cool Hard Rock drumsticks, and we got his mom a Tshirt with a really cool dragon on it, because she colllects dragons. We also got a gorgeous print of a white tiger with deep blue eyes that we're going to hang in our stairway. AND we found our friend Danielle a really cool poster of Angelina Jolie (I think she'd leave all of us behind if Angelina called her up one day and said "Come live with me!"). At about 8 we took another drive around the city to see the lights, then retired back to our room (with the king-sized bed and jacuzzi tub
...we'll just leave it at that).
The next day we checked out of the room at 11, and headed straight to the San Francisco Zoo. I'd never been to a zoo before. We had so much fun! Well, fun except for the "Bug Zoo" because they were mostly spiders, but I survived...didn't look at them, but survived lol. Spent a good part of the day there, then got a quick late lunch and headed home to rest before work the next day.
AWESOME weekend, even though all the driving in SF and looking around at things did a number on my neck and I was in tears all last night, it was totally worth it!
