Yesterday was the first day that I had to de-ice the car.
Which was ok..I'd allowed enough time and i only got slight frostbite on my nose
But as I was driving, a moth got squashed under the wipers .
;(
It was really pretty....see
And I felt really sad thinking about how it had survived the cold only to end up stuck to my windscreen.
And now its Saturday night.
I've just spent the last couple of hours helping Em sort out the downstairs because she's having a party.
And before that I spent half an hour trying to straighten out the strut in the kitchen window that she opened to get rid of a wasp
And bent as she tried to slam it shut.
Which meant that it wouldn't shut at all.
And that the house was bloody freezing.
However, supermum that I am, with the aid of my trusty hammer I have solved it.
Trouble is I'm now going to be subjected to 'My Humps' by Black Eyed Peas and a whole lot of far worse stuff coming through the floorof the living room.
Thank god for headphones
Update 10.37pm
And yes, I'm listening to the bloody awful sound of My Humps amidst loads of screaming laughter from this girl
and her friends.
That is her 'schoolgirl' costume by the way.

I bet that butterfly had been lurking under your car's bonnet. We've had them overwintering in the house before now.
I once tried to catch a wasp in a beerglass on the kitchen ceiling but couldn't quite reach .
I said "get in, will you" - and it did. My housemate was on the kitchen floor helpless with laughter.
