Recipes for some food i'll be making over the weekend.
Margeritta Shrimp:
Shrimp. lots and lots of them i'll be using about a pound. make sure they are shelled and deveined and defrosted.
Margeritta mix . grab a bottle of this. probably 1/2 a cup. you will wan to use enough that all of the shrimp rest in a it
Parmesian cheese. grated. enough to cover all of the shrimp
Lime juice. juist a couple squirts.
cornstarch. about 1tsp/ 1/2 cup margeritta mix
put the margeritta mix in a pan, stir in the cornstarch until it's completely dissolved. start on medium.
put the shrimp in.
stir.
pour in the cheese, cover all of the shrimp.
stir some more.
keep stirring and such until the shrimp curl (and are pink) and the mix begins to boil. the shrimp are the important part here.
prepare, squirt with the lime juice, add a bit more parmesain cheese and serve.
Tortellini Soup
bag of Tortellini
can of diced tomato's
packgage of spinach
crushed garlic... lots of it
basil
water 3 cups or so
put everything in, let it boil. the tortelli's will get big and soft.
serve.
Fresh raspberry tarts
10 sheets of fillo dough.
2 eggs
chopped or slivered almonds.
2 tbsp suger
2 tbsp flour
can of blackberries
1/2 bag of raspberries
cornstarch
err more suger.
melted stick of butter
first thing you want to do is mix the butter, eggs first bit of sugar, flour, and a small handfull of almonds together.
now place eat sheet of dough down on your tray (oh yeah you need one of those too) you want the edges to come up the sides of your tray btw. spread a small amount of the mixture on the dough, add another sheet and repeat. you want to cover each sheet with the mixture. when the dough and the mixture is gone you are ready for the next step (if you have extra mixture pour it on the top, and spread it to the sides or places that look dry)
take the can on black berries and drain the juice into a bowl and put the remaining black berries on top of the dough. place in the oven for 20 minutes.
take your juice and mix in some cornstarch and put it in a sauce pan.
put some raspberries and some sugar in there and cook slowly until it boils. add raspberries and sugar to taste (it's ok if the raspberries break apart)
when the 20 minutes are up pull the dough out, and pout the sauce in, toss back into the oven for another 5 minutes. pull out and let cool
at this point you want to kick everyone else out of the kitchen and or house, because they will be crowding around wanting some.
you will not want them to do that.
simple because you will want to eat it all. easpecially after the first bite.
