if you haven't looked yet,
new pictures uploaded under the album, Blue.
work has moved me to 4 days a week, 9 to 10 hours each shift. which is ok with me. more days off a week. so maybe i'll be able to get myself doing more stuff now.
however, this guy i used to work with at cabelas came in the other day to get some stuff and came by to talk. after talking a bit, he suggested i should try getting something in the field i want to go into, social work. so i think i'm going to see if i can get in doing something more with what i want to do. fingers crossed.
also, i emailed NEIU the other day since they have yet to send me information i had requested.
and i might visit them on friday, depending on weather and such.
i wish i was less over-analytical so i could just try to make something without thinking about it. just let it come out from me.
i need a vacation. my aunt wants to take me to las vegas now. i have thought about arizona. ireland may just be too expensive right now. but i really want to go. seems though i'll get a mini vacation over spring break, i'll be house sitting for a lady i had house sat for last year and watching her three kittens.
a friend of mine is currently between places, so he's thinking about bringing his game systems over here for me to hold onto until he gets his own place. so i'm going to be the adoptive parent to a ps3, x-box 360, and perhaps a wii. i kinda hope he does bring them over, so i can play some games.
i really want it to be past valentine's day. i've decided. i've never been much of one for the hallmark holiday. this seems to be the time when it's just not ok to be single. like you're the plague. don't think i've ever even had a valentine... will you all be my valentine?
"I'm sure I liked the holiday in fourth grade when they gave us something fun to color. Doilies to glue. Candy. Valentine's day isn't for adults. It's for teenagers and children, for restaurants, florists, and lingerie sales. Adults should show and share love, daily, not when the magazines and card stores say so." - Stephanie Klein, "Straight up and dirty"
i really have nothing ever interesting to say. i just ramble.
off to clean and read this
EDIT://
#1: i had a lot of things put into perspective for me and such tonight. i think things will be in an up swing.
at least fingers crossed.
i had talked all night with my friend who i may be sitting his systems. sometimes, just sitting down and talking for hours is good.
#2: i think i'm going to message my tattoo artist's apprentice, kyle berg, and see if he'll do a new tattoo for me. i'm thinking stocking seams... or a tyson mcadoo pin-up.
#3: saw atonement with my mom. oh man... i'm still crying.
yet, i have a huge urge to read the book now.
what 13th Floor Elevators stuff do you have?
you should take your aunt up on the Vegas trip - especially if you're going to be able to go while it's this fucking cold out around here...
dude, i'll totally be your valentine. and you put my favorite new picture up in yr journal here... hot.
