well, i don't normally get too personal on this blog, but i just found out about 5min ago that my friend and former skihousemate Ben Goldbaum just passed away from a sudden heart attack earlier today.
Ben was truly one of the most amusing old bastards i have had the priviledge of knowing. always willing to help a friend (hell, strangers) with a wrench or roadside fix on their motorcycles, bikes, skis, snowboards, what have you. he always knew the best twisties and secret trails on powder days...and the best part? he would share them with anyone who asked - i would call him on the cell and ask where the good roads where when i was out riding and he would start texting me directions to the "good stuff".
i'll raise 2 fingers of good tequila and a good lie about how well i rode that day in your honor brother.
ride on, ben...ride on.
