Kyra-spooky beach
- shot in the same nice but pricy studio in boston. kyra was secretly excited that the backstreet boys had shot there and signed the wall outside. (i'm kidding, i swear...dang, gonna get a 4'10" pink-haired SG beatdown for that one)
- same studio as strix's last set and kera's unused set as well as an upcoming perdita set. the studio is designed for cooking shows and has a full kitchen with bad-ass overhead softboxes and these HUGE steel whisks that are as big as kyra!
- i basically had to buy the orange background from the store/rental shop, use it for the set and leave it in the studio cuz it won't fit in my car! that hurt...alot.
- the theme was much more involved with lots of halloween stuff, but that got junked when we realized that there was a bit too much theme-y shots and not enough kyra-y shots. so the graphics were added after post-production in to pull the theme back together. never did find a good enough palm tree design. next time....
- yes, there is a LOT of PAM in this one. sure wish i had a shot of kyra's face when i pulled out the pam can...bwhahahahahaha!
Maxi-The Date
- shot in the lovely ms maxi's new loft
- flowers provided by the lovely ember as well as some art direction.
- the man prop is anteros - he cleans up hella-well and needs a real date...pls. (i'm kidding, i swear...dang, gonna get a 5'6" long-haired SG member beatdown for that one). luckily we talked maxi out of making him get a manicure before the shoot!
- the "glass doors" in the above shot are actually 2 glass shelves leaning on a chair...almost dropped them several times on my foot.
- dang, Ikea furniture lights pretty well, huh?
- one shot has part of the softbox in the window where i forgot to edit it out.
- between having to keep her 3 dogs and all the cords out of the shots(the outlets were in the totally wrong places)...it was a rough shoot, but maxi is a stone cold pro and it went pretty fast and smooth
- afterwards, we shot a couple TFP shots of her nude on her 6" balcony (well, not a balcony..more like a doorway to nowhere). all was going well until she realized that several people on the street were staring up at her..."oh hi!"
off to west palm for a wedding tomorrow....renting a Hertz Mustang GT-H and shooting jaime and ginary between vows. been travelling a lot and as usual, backed up on my samples/prep...so pls have patience.
