I have been having the roughest time writing new songs lately. It doesn't help that I'm incredibly aware of my neighbor being home. He (quite rudely) yelled at me through the wall about the noise of me softly playing my acoustic guitar (really, I was surprised he could hear more than background noise from it), so now any time I don't know he's gone, I get really ridiculously over-sensitive to noise. If I hear a tap from the bushes outside my window, I'll stop playing for a sec. to make sure I wasn't bothering anyone. Anyway, I have the rest of the year off (I do love saying that), so maybe over the next few days I'll find some time during the day when he's gone and I can just let loose. I haven't done that since the last time I played for an audience.
