ann arbor is a cool town. it's home to the university of michigan. it has a fairly diverse population, and a pretty even split between yuppie-types, and tree-huggin' types.
tons of coffee shops, lots of "bohemian" kinds of stores--the college students keep that scene going strong, art galleries, lots of bookstores, great restaurants, lots of good but small music venues. it's a very manageable-sized city. i like it a lot, and i also went to college here way back when. i think i'll be moving to a bigger city in a year or so, though, once i get my life stabilized.

i don't know yet.....i'm told that the san francisco area has the exact climate i want. maybe chicago again. we'll see what i'm in the mood for when the time comes.
