I wanna get to know you guys better!! So tell me, what are your favourite books! Here are my top fives in no particular order.
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - This is my all time favourite romantic novel. I have always been drawn to the dark and stormy Heathcliff and the way the story is told. It has an incredibly sad ending, but it makes the book all the more believable.
Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk - I'm a huge Chuckie P fan, and this one is my favourite. I'm not even fully sure how to describe it, but if you're familiar with his work, you know it's a roller coaster of insanity. I actually have the cover art tattooed on my arm.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick - This book. This book messed with me pretty badly, I got really lost in it and actually had a hard time picking up another once I was done. It's the novel the movie Bladerunner is based on, so if you've seen that but have yet to read the book I highly suggest that you do.
The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut - Another one of my favourite authors, I honestly don't think he has ever written a bad book. Sirens of Titan has a complex story set in space which makes it one of my tops. I actually found this book on a train in Chicago in 2008. At that time I had only read two of his books, so I started this and just devoured it. People often ask me where I get my name from, and it's from this very book!
American Gods by Neil Gaimen - Obviously Neil Gaimen is an astoundly talented man, and American Gods is no exception. There are a lot of twist and turns in this one, so I don't want to give anything away, but it's definitely worth the read. They're currently working on a TV version, and so far the cast looks great, and the few photos I've seen look pretty perfect.
Now it's your turn! What are some of your favourite books?? I'm always looking for new things to read so recommendations are always welcome!
