Hiya cats and kittens! I hope everyone has been thoroughly enjoying the holidays and all the festivities that the end of the year brings with it. You may have noticed I haven't been around much the last month. If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know why that is, but I wanted to write a proper blog for you all. For some reason not all my IG posts are showing up on my feed here, so hopefully I can get that straightened out shortly. Honestly, I haven't been on much social media for the last month, but there were a few vital IG posts that didn't post here for whatever reason.
So anyways, I had some unexpected surgery come up, that went totally fine and I have made a full, and speedy, recovery from. But for the two weeks beforehand, I was just a messy ball of anxiety and fear. I am really not into being put to sleep, it just freaks me right the fuck out. It wasn't anything life threatening, I'd just rather not get into it all. Needless to say, I put stress on myself, which in turn put stress onto my relationships with the people around me. I just sort of went hermit.
But! This is now in the past, and I have been re-energized with a new spirit and am ready for the New Year and all the great things that 2015 will bring. I'm in the midst of a really big life change, so that's another thing that has been weighing on my mind recently, and sort of keeping me in hermit mode. Once things are settled I promise to catch you all up to date on what that particular change was.
Most importantly, right now I am happy. I know the decisions I am making are the right ones. I know that the next couple of weeks are uncertain ground, but sometimes that is the path to the most solid future. I want to thank everyone that reached out with kind words of support over the last couple weeks. This community is so much more than just pretty ladies and naughty bits, and I couldn't be happier to be a part of it. Happy New Year to you all!!
Here's some pictures from the last few weeks..
After surgery was all about ice cream and finishing The Wire. I know I'm late to the party on this one, but this show was fantastic. I was very sad to see it end, what ever will I do without Lester Freeman!?!?!!
Spent a lot of days at the park where I quickly rose to the top of the pecking order.
This one is from my first post surgery run, which was fantastic.
@marceline and @michaelmae were in town for the weekend, and I'm really glad I got to have lunch with them. And meet two of their wonderful friends! My belly was very grateful for the delicious Chow Baby. I loves yous guys!!
I spent Christmas Eve day baking with my friend Stephen. We enjoyed a few mimosas and made so many delicious things!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and got to spend the day with someone you love.
I'm most excited to share one of my presents with you all. Here's a baby sneak peek...
And here's my tummy.. Just cause!
And this was me this morning!! Today is my favourite kind of weather. Gray, chilly, and rainy. I spent the first hour of my day cuddled up with a good book. It was great.
So yeah! I have actually been in a really weird, but good place. I'm very optimistic about the future, and I hope you all are as ready for 2015 as I am!
Happy New Year!!
Oh yeah.. tomorrow is my birthday. I usually do a big party, but this year I'm just going to do a few things I like. And probably go to bed early. And I'm really happy with that.
