This week @missy and @rambo have come up with a really creative blog idea.. Talk about a crazy/weird/interesting dream!
Just a few days before seeing this blog topic I had one of the most amazing dreams I have ever had. You know the kind where when you wake up you immediately shut your eyes and try to fall back asleep. Grasping at the last detail you can remember, trying to force the whole picture to swim back into your mind. Except that it's always impossible. Well this was one of those dreams.
Since I can't quite recall every detail, it's hard to find a place to start, but I'll begin by telling you that this was the most epic dream I've ever had. Although it took place in the Star Wars universe, it was a huge crossover between Star Wars and A Song of Ice and Fire (or Game of Thrones). Jon Snow, totally clad in the black of his Night's Watch gear was piloting Slave 1 through the galaxy on a manhunt for Thrakan Sal-Solo. It was very clear that Jon Snow was on an assassination mission, but instead of killing Sal-Solo he takes him prisoner on Slave 1 and transports him to what is basically the equivalent of The Wall as a planet, so I guess maybe it was Hoth.
At this point my dream shifts over to Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker's apartment on Coruscant where Mara is giving birth to the prophesied Stallion that will Mount the World. Daenerys Targaryen is leaning over Mara telling her that she's going to die, that this child is too powerful to have life without first creating death. Dany just keeps saying that she tried and she couldn't do it, that if she, The Mother of Dragons, couldn't bring The Stallion into the world than no woman could. Needless to say, Mara Jade is one badass bitch and she gives birth and it's all fine, and I guess maybe that means Ben Skywalker is the Stallion that Mounts the World.
I don't get to find out as the dream shifts again and I finally find my own place in this whole thing. I'm on a dragon! Soaring low across meadows and ponds, watching the water ripple with ever beat of this creatures massive wings. Mountains in the distance become closer and we climb higher in the sky. I squeeze my thighs a little tighter and that's when I look down to see a lightsaber slung at my hip. And I'm wearing the familiar brown of Jedi robes. I'm a fucking Jedi! I'M A FUCKING DRAGON RIDING, FORCE USING, MOTHER FUCKING JEDI!! And that's not even the cherry. As we start to reach the peak of one of the mountains the dragon makes a sharp left, cutting close around it's snowy edge. My force senses tell me there's no danger, but I grip closer to the dragons hide all the same. After climbing past the tallest point, we start to descend on a foggy plateau. We land with an unimaginable silence, one beat of the dragons wings clears all the fog. Looking up I see the Millennium Falcon directly ahead, Han Solo walking down the ramp with that crocked smile on his face, 'was wondering when you'd finally show back up' he says as he steps up along the dragons side. He reaches up to help me down and holds me in his arms as he carries me into the Falcon. And conveniently, my dragon shrinks into baby dragon size as he follows us up the ramp into the ship. Then we blast off to have awesome adventures through the galaxy! Roll credits. Cue me waking up. Cue me crying in agony upon realizing that that isn't my real life. Whhhyyyyy!!????!!!
So yup! That's probably the most exciting, interesting, amazing dream I have ever had. Hopefully it was entertaining for you too!
