So I owe you guys a serious blog update and here it is! I'm usually on top of posting every week, but I got a little busy, so my many apologizes! I've got a few different fun and exciting things to update you all on, but I'm going to start with my lovely and relaxing holiday which included an excellent trip to Seattle!
I spent my first day of holiday at mums. Her backyard is a literal paradise, definitely a happy place for me.
Second day of holiday included a delightful dinner with some of my favourite people and then heading out to see Cut/Copy. My bff and I took a trip to Nashville in March to see them because they didn't have an Atlanta date for their tour, but we were ecstatic when they added an ATL date to the lineup. So I've been lucky enough to see them play two times this year!
And on the third day of holiday I woke up insanely early(especially after staying up super late shaking my booty at CutCops) to catch an 8:10 flight to Seattle, WA! After boarding the plane we ended up just sitting there for three hours while they fixed some valve on the engine. Which, in the end, I'd rather have a three hour delay than die in a crazy plane wreck. Plus I had The Wolf of Wall Street and some complimentary beer to ease my boredom.
After we took off the flight was perfect, and every other bit of the holiday was pure joy and relaxation. So here comes a photo drop! Starting with the adorable apartment we stayed in in Capitol Hill.
First things first... beer and tacos!
A friend who lives in Portland came to visit for two days while I was in Seattle and she brought me VOODOO DOUGHNUTS!!!! I love her even more than previously thought possible.
That night we went to a bar called Unicorn that was totally awesome and I completely forgot to take pictures. Underneath it is a little arcade bar called Narwhal, where we had some drinks and played mad pinball all night.
The following day we walked around Pike Place Market, watching them throw the fish and checking out all the little shops.
Want everything on this shelf! Especially all those 1980's Star Wars figures.
Had lunch and some brews at The Pike Place Brewery.
And I got poutine! Being from Canada poutine is like the most bestest amazing food ever! But since I live in Atlanta I can never get it. There are a few places her in the ATL that have it on the menu, but they always fuck it up. This was definitely the best poutine I've had in the states. Yummmm!!!!
Added some gum to the gum wall. Which is both disgusting and pretty.
Ended up on the pier by Pudget Sound watching boats.
Three adorable street kitties I made friends with.
So, there is a marijuana delivery service in Seattle and we definitely took advantage of that. And it was delicious! The chocolates were the best.
Lots of beers were had. And a gigantic pretzel was eaten.
Ate the most amazing veggie dog(at Po Dog), topped with potato chips, ketchup, and cream cheese. What? Delicious that's what.
Bruce and Brandon Lee. RIP.
Had my very first Dutch Baby and it was delicious! Anybody watch Bob's Burgers, remember the episode Linda was obsessed with eating one? That was the first time I'd ever even heard of it, and when I saw they had them in Seattle I had to get one. Mine was made with chocolate chips and was heaven. I'm excited to start making them at home now.
Obvi had to do the Space Needle. I'm a sucker for high up tourist spots. I've done Empire State, Statue of Liberty, CN Tower, and Sears Tower. So had to add this one, even though it's crazy over priced and full of tourists.
From the top! This picture was featured on the best of SG not too long ago. Eeee!
Next up was the EMP Museum. I was so excited to see the Icons of Science Fiction exhibit. If you don't know how much I love scifi please see my last blog post. I literally teared up seeing some of these things. I'm not going to describe everything as it should be obvious what it is, but all of these are real props or clothing worn by the actors. It was amazing.
Vader's lightsaber handle and Yoda's walking stick.
The actual fucking Robby the Robot. How fucking cool is that?
The also had a fantasy exhibit.
They had my absolute favourite Cersei dress. She wore this in season two episode nine The Battle of Blackwater. I love that episode, and I really wanted to break that glass and run off with it.
Of course we also checked out the Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix exhibits. I didn't get any pictures in the Jimi one because there were way too many people.
They had so many personal photos, stage props, set lists, and musical equipment. Walking around that exhibit gave me chills.
And before I knew it, the six days were over and it was time to come home. We spent our last night in Capitol Hill at a whiskey bar called Cannon that someone had recommended to me. It was insane. All that whiskey! And they had a back room with more, and a cellar where they keep the really old stuff. They even had a whiskey from 1912! And the bartender Brian was so nice and helpful, if I lived in Seattle I would definitely be a regular there, I highly recommend this place to everyone!
I've been back from Seattle for a week now and after detoxing myself from all the food and drink, I'm feeling back to myself again. I always get the blues after traveling, got the wanderlust hard. For people that regularly read this blog you may already know this, buuut I have traveled to all but three US States. This trip marked my first time in Washington and I really fell in love. The Pacific Northwest is just the most beautiful place. I started travel the states with my mum when I was really young, at the time we were still living in Canada and she really wanted to see the States, so she didn't let having three kids stop her and just took us everywhere with her. Every summer we would take a month long road trip through the US. My mum would buy us badges everywhere we went and we each had our own blanket to sew said badges on. I still keep that tradition alive today, and was very excited to add my Washington badge to the blanket. It's definitely my most prized possession.
And now some other fun things! Went to Brew at the Zoo a few weeks ago. Usually I don't go to zoo's they just make me insanely sad, but if you hold a beer festival at one, I guess I'll go. Plus they had baby pandas and I LOVE pandas.
Park hangs with the bestie.
On a different park day I had a staring contest with this duck, then he followed me around for about thirty minutes. I really love Piedmont Park, and I'm lucky enough to live close enough to walk to it. One of my happy places.
Oooo Oooo! Went to Ren Fest with some awesome people. My boo @hephaestus_ dressed me up as a warrior princess!
Also! Before @tobzilla_ and @hephaestus_ headed out for a shootfest we all went out and played Drunk Bingo. Tobs won an awesome dino prize and shared her hats with us. I hope she'll come back to Atlanta for a visit soon!
Also also, we had a big storm right before sunset here in the ATL a few weeks ago, after the storm passed the sky was the most amazing array of colours and hues. It was gorgeous.
Summer in Georgia mean a lot of outdoor reading with Gaius.

One last thing that pertains to boobies! I've been asked a couple times about prints, and I am going to set up a print shop in the near future. In the meantime, I snapped a couple Instax Polaroids while in Seattle that I'm selling for $12 including shipping. I've sold two already, so here is what I have left. If you're interested just message me for details!
I think that about wraps up this giant update. I'm sure I will have more new and exciting adventures to fill you all in on soon. And later this week I will be posting a catch up blog for all the homework I'm behind on. Anyways, hope all you lads and lasses are well and enjoying life! Until next time.. I'm off to play some Watch_Dogs .. which PS is frakking awesome!
