It's been awhile since I've done a homework blog assigned by @missy and @rambo so I figured no time like the present! Plus I have absolutely been loving this blog topic and reading more about all you awesome lads and ladies. So here are ten facts/random things about me. Maybe you know some of them already, but check it out.
- I am Canadian eh! Although I currently live in Atlanta, I am originally from Ottawa! I grew up just outside the city, and then at the age of seven moved to a farm house in a much more rural area. When I was twelve I moved to Georgia. Most of my family is still in The Great White North so I visit as often as possible.
- I have a caffeine sensitivity. Even a small amount makes me shake and my heart starts beating crazy fast. I don't drink soda, coffee, or caffeinated teas. And although I rarely take medicine, when I do it has to be caffeine free.
- I LOVE AVOCADOS!! Like, I really really love them! On salads, sandwiches, pizza, tacos! Anything! I often dice up avocado and eat it with a little salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Or I'll smoother it in Sriracha! I also love hot sauce!
- There are only four US States I have not been to. They are.. Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, and Iowa. When I was younger my mum would take myself and my sisters on a two or three week road trip around the US every summer. She bought me and my sisters blankets and everywhere we went she would buy badges for us to sew onto our blankets as she drove through the night to our next destination. I still have mine, and even today every where I go I buy badges to add to my blanket. (Also! I'm going to Seattle this June, so soon I will only have three left!)
- I have super low blood pressure. It's something I just learned recently, but when the nurse took it she checked it twice because it was so low. It's dangerously low, but it's less than 90/60. I guess it's cause I'm just so chill. Lolzz
- I read.. A LOT! I basically can't be not reading. If I let a few days go by between books I feel a lost and disconnected. I get far too attached to fictional characters, obsessing over their actions, or stressing their decisions. Ending a series is always especially hard, whether it's happy or sad, I find it hard to say goodbye.
- I have a crazy hair loving kitty! This one isn't so much about me, but whatever. My ten year old, seventeen and a half pound, black kitty is crazy for my hair. He sleeps on my pillow every night, just purring and pumping his paws into my hair. When I'm on my couch he'll crawl up my chest and bury his neck in it. I once chopped my hair off and he shunned me for weeks.
- I've never eaten fish. And also something that sort of goes with that, I've been a vegetarian for 12 years. I was always a super picky kid and couldn't get past the smell of fish to even try it. In the last twelve years my palate has changed tremendously, there are so many delicious things I eat now that I didn't eat then, I often wonder how I would feel about the taste of fish.
- I have some pretty seriously anxiety and some very odd fears. Although I'm great in small groups or one on one situations, I'm pretty terrible in large groups. Especially large groups of people I don't know. I ride public transportation and get anxiety every time I get on the bus, even though I've been doing it for years. I obsess about trivial things while trying to fall asleep. As far as odd fears, some of them I'm not even sure how to explain or where they stem from, but it's not average stuff.
- I'm crazy in love with Jeff Goldblum. Like probably a scary amount. Ever since I saw Jurassic Park in 1993 I've been head over heels. I dunno, he just seems like the most perfect man. Honestly, I love Jewish men. Big noses, dark eyes, dark curly hair. I'm into it.
