It's my birthday!! Woohoo! When I was little I hated having a birthday so close to Christmas, but I kind of like it as an adult. When I celebrate New Years each year, it really is one full year that has past for me. It's kinda cool. Also! Happy sundies!!
Friday night I went to an awesome superhero themed dance party held at a club I use to bartend at. It was such a blast, and the music was perfect. Watching a dude dressed as The Penguin breaking it down during Prince's Batdance, was basically the best thing ever. Wonder Woman grinding in a cage. Hearing Britney Spear's Dancing til the World Ends blend into Skinny Puppy's Hit me in the Streets, was just fantastic. And after we left the club, my best friend and I continued the dance party at my apartment until six thirty! It was the most perfect night.
As much as I love going out with a group of friends and dancing the night away in a loud club, I also cherish my alone time. So birthday weekend night two was spent watching The Great Gatsby, eating peanut butter cheesecake, and then catching up on some Locke & Key. Which is so badass!
Tonight, for my actual name day, I will be heading to my most favourite pub in Atlanta. Because of it's big oaken door with a handle made out of a giant tree branch, I knew I would love The Brickstore Pub before I even stepped inside. Everything is old and the whole place smells like wood and leather. It's always crowded, there are no televisions, and the beer selection is superb!
And a huge thank you to @homr76 for getting me one of my most favourite albums! I love Sleigh Bells so much and I've already listened to it about twenty times!
And I am off to go eat pizza and drink some beer! Two of my favourite things!
And that is a wig! Because it's my birthday and I'll wear a wig to lunch if I want to. Happy hunting!
