Hopefuls Log. Stardate 91106.23
Back from Portland and I can't even describe how much I fell in love with Oregon. It was so beautiful, the air was so fresh, and the people were not only gorgeous but also super sweet. I got to shoot with the very talented Darryl Darko and the babely Dali did my hair and makeup for the shoot. I was a little nervous going into it, but they were both so sweet I relaxed pretty quickly. I can't wait for all of you to see what we did! Here's a little preview I snagged from his blog..
I also got to meet the super sexy Toxic! Even though it was a quickie, I'm glad I got the chance to meet her.
And now on to a giant Portland photo drop, enjoy!
Bridges.. Obviously Where we stayed Drank at the Rogue Public House At The Portland City Grill for Happy Hour. This place was 30 floors up and had the most amazing view of the city. Stuffed our faces with some delicious Voodoo doughnuts! Good things come in pink boxes... so true! I found the fourth doctor! And a kitty! And a fellow Rebel! Spent an evening playing old arcade games and a shit ton of pinball at Ground Kontrol. I even blew up the Death Star Atari style! More noms and dranks. BIKES!! Enjoyed an outdoor drag show after all the bars closed down.
I love the colour green, and there was a lot of it in Oregon. I wanted to hide in all this green for the rest of my life! It's a bit like a Where's Waldo? Had a great time wandering through the Rose Gardens, which smelled terrific. Same day we explored the beautiful Japanese Garden. Another place I could have spent an eternity in. And finally my most favourite place of everywhere we went.. Multnomah Falls. The upper waterfall is 542 feet and the lower part is 69 feet. And it was freaking gorgeous. We hiked to the top and I hopped a guard rail to take a little picture. We decided to take our shoes off and cool down in the stream leading to the waterfall. Then we wandered upstream even more and every step we took was more beautiful than the last. Eventually we came across another beautiful waterfall which we were able to stand right at the base of. Standing so close, feeling the spray of water on my face, hearing nothing but the crash of water, and smelling all the surrounding trees, I couldn't think of a single other thing in the world.
And then all of a sudden a week had passed and I was getting on a plane back to Atlanta, which was extremely sad. Boarding the plane I had to push the tears back and tell myself I would be back soon. And even though I left my heart in Oregon, I brought back a few awesome finds, a whole lot of good memories, and some Marionberry Jam.
I'm so pleased that I had the opportunity to spend a week in such an incredible city with my best friend in the world. And now I only have four more states before I've been to them all!
I also had a new set go up on Zivity earlier today, so if you're a member there be sure to go check it out. It's another one with ScaredyLion and I'm very pleased with how it came out... 'Redhead, Red Chair'
Now I'm off to catch up on all The Daily Show and Colbert Report I missed last week. On that same note I'd like to say I think John Oliver is doing a fabulous job filing in for my favourite Jewish satirist.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Happy Hunting!
