sigh.

I'll catch you on Lj or something. smile

if you actually want to be archived you have to send a message to a member of staff or a help request of some kind. In case you didn't know and were wondering...

I still exist.

SuicideGirl offers a number of things, but unfortunately, intellectual stimulation or challenge isn't necessarily one of them. I suppose it's all the nature of the beast; no big deal.

I am working on Diary A Week submissions as requested by SMITH Magazine.

I am taking an Arabic language course. My instructor has named me Fanaar.

fatality:
Amen, sista. How are you?
writersareliars:
I don't come here for intellectual stimulation either, but the place surprises me sometimes.

The name Fanaar is pleasing to the ear. Well, to my ear anyway.

Sorry! I've been away for a long time, I know. I've been out in the field (medical support for a armored battalion, sleeping through tank fire is WOO), and I really haven't had much to say, besides.

They still haven't changed my profile picture. What do they want from me? ANYTHING would be better than the one I have. Please, guys. :[

I went to...

I have a friend in the Atlanta area who is making an effort to get back into semi-profesional photography. He's done some things like SG before, as I understand it. I know him via GATech, so I can't comment direclty. I can put you in touch if you like to dicuss, of course.
zpo:
kiss - I've been saving that for you. I missed your return to the site since I was on R&R in the states at the time.

I did some business down that way with the last company I worked for. I built a GPS tracker for the RTB. It fit in a standard ammo pouch and let them track the trainees on the land-nav course.

Making the adjustment from Civ to basic to AIT to operational unit can really throw you for a loop. Slinging boxes while wearing ACUs in the heat is enough to bring anybody down. The only trick I know is to just roll with it. Nobody is having much fun doing that stuff so you just have to roll with it and find something humorous about it.

Over time you'll find the way to detach your brain from whatever BS-seeming task they come up with. Its not a perfect method, but it makes things easier to manage.

So, yesterday was a ball of fucking fun. They used local anesthesia - Lidocaine, to be exact - to remove the bottom two wisdom teeth by kindly ripping them out of my jaw. "A little pressure", my ass. The ability to hear the sound of them cracking as they tear from your jaw helps, too.

Here's my wisdom teeth, which were developing while I was...

Sorry to hear that. I still have the joy of looking forward to getting my wisdom teeth pulled.

oh my goodness!
(as an aside, so you don't think I'm a random stalker appearing, i decided to read some of your other journal following my last comment)

this has SO happened to me. My freshman year of college I had a terrrible uterine infection and no one could figure out what it was because unless it's an STD, doctors on college campuses don't kow what to do with you. So they gave me some fucked up antibiotic which I was allergic to and thus puked all over the chemistry lab. Upon returning to the health center I was given compazine for the nausea which I am SO allergic to. I had such simialr symptoms to you- the fucked up temperatures, the trembling and heart pounding, and then I had a panic attack and had to be sedated- and just like you said, the whole time it felt so "wrong," soooo unnatural and gross.

and that is my story which may or may not hav just ruined my chances for online friendship wink blush
hope you're feeling better!!!!

So, it's Sunday night. Tomorrow is the beginning of another fine, fine week of living: The Army Way.

The Zoloft is helping me not feel horribly depressed all the time, but it isn't helping my anxiety. I think it's making my anxiety worse. I always want to be alone, and large groups of people and loud noise bother me much more than they did before....

Holy crap! How could I not have noticed how much more... well, around you've been lately.

Hmm... that's probably because I haven't been around much myself. confused Anyhoo, you are looking good.

I've never heard of this "Coca-Cola Columbus Space Science Museum". The very term bemuses me, and brings to my mind visions of Coke-bottle-shaped rockets launched into orbit by sheer fizziness.

Note that I am easily bemused.

I saw World Trade Center today.

It really wasn't that great. Granted, there were some moments that got to you - it's odd how just knowing it really happened makes it worse -, but if you're looking to make yourself feel sad for your countrymen, I suggest United 93 instead - that movie was utterly terrifying. The sheer amount of "terrifying" to be found...

Hey again. Don't ask why I keep updating - I guess I'm hoping that I'll find a group or something here that fascinates me, aside from you nice people.

(Shameful Secret: I am listening to Reba McEntire's Fancy on repeat. I love this song.)

Today, I worked in the clinic, which was much better than moving boxes outside in the heat. Conveniently, I was sent...

Hey, dropping another post today.

As to the shoot I mentioned doing with LIthium Picnic - we both felt it wasn't suitable, me because I felt fat and unable to make any kind of decent face or pose, and he because the lighting situation was so difficult (not to mention how hard it is to shoot in the middle of the woods when you are...

For a site that's supposed to be about any type of girl expressing themselves it is really tattooed punk themed, second to that are sets with no theme. The way I see it any set you do that has a good theme will be a set ahead of the rest, btw if you don't like your profile picture then why don't you change it??
zoton:
I never really thought of myself as part of this site till I joined (I was into the nekkid and didn't really know there was a community as big or as varied as this) but as I got to know people I realised that i could really fit in here despite the fact that I never really listen to that much punk rock and my musical taste is pretty embarassing really blush

Yet again, still alive and kicking, having a hard time getting by in the military. I guess the Army is no place for a Suicide Girl, eh?

Eh.

I have trouble relating to my peers, have little to no respect for my immediate Chain of Command, and find "moving heavy boxes all day in 100 degree heat while wearing long sleeves" a rather deceptive translation...

I'm one of those ones who actually is enjoying their time in the Army, but I hazard to say that comes probably more from the job than from the culture.

I'm guessing health care where your at is much more in line with "Detail Meat". That sucks. Not only do you have to put up with the standard Army crap, you have to deal with that nonsense.

I've been blessed over the last four years. But hey, you still are in, and that says a lot. You will get something good out of it, even if it just means years down the road, you won't have to put a down payment on a house.
