People have such fragile skin, I don't know if has always been this way.
A single comment can destroy so many others, maybe this just simply attests to the power of words, like a witness called to the stand, you can see time and time again how much people let others affect them. An outside force crumpling the walls people have painstakingly built up with their own hands and experiences, boldly stating "this is it, no more will others hurt me, I don't care anymore what anybody says about me."
But more often than not, this is just not the case, just a jumble of words we use to comfort ourselves, something to cling to in hopes of it being true.
Truth is we are connected one way or another, every interaction we have we each other can mean so much, I hate seeing how easily negatively affects others, the drama we create, and the comments thoughtlessly shot forth at one another with purely an intent to wound. Is stress and anger such a great fad that we all feel so compelled to share it, and then to allow it to spread at a rampant pace among others we usually hold dear? why do we usually ignore the feelings of others or the social implications it says about humanity as a whole wit these actions?
Other people's feelings should come far before your own when you speak out of anger or frustration, we all need to think before we speak, treat others how you want to be treated is a vital life lesson with dealing with strangers, or at the very least get thicker skin, because bladed comments come at a price, usually with return fire.
