Oh, complications.
My ex (le boy) was very stressed out last night about his future, school, friends, and aging parents. I'm usually very stressed and freaked out and he usually helps me through the rough times, so I try to be there for him when I can. Which means when he needs me. Which is rarely -- so I like to be there for him when he DOES need me. I wanted to call him and let him hear my voice (not just chat online) and reassure him that everything is going to be okay, but he didn't even have time for a five minute phone call so I said I'd leave him a message and he could listen to it when he DID have time. So I left one... just a nice one saying take things slow, take each problem as it comes to you, etc. It was very nice and helpful. I got these messages this afternoon:
Dan: so hey...there was something weird about that phone messege you left me
Dan: it's weird...cuz like
Dan: after hearin the whole thing
Dan: by the time you were about to say gbye
Dan: and actually, after you said gbyegnite...
Dan: this is weird for me to say...
Dan: but i was waiting for the "i love you"
Dan: so yea...weird
Dan: uhm...i don't really mean to burden ya with that, but i figured you should know...since you tell me things like this sometimes
grrr. He broke my heart into itty bitty pieces over eight months ago and I've finally picked up the pieces and started to find happiness with someone else. And then he does shit like this.
