Fake Thanksgiving

Yesterday I went to a Fake Thanksgiving
Fake Thanksgiving is my new favorite holiday
Fake Thanksgiving is just like Thanksgiving except that its on a different day
Theres still food
Theres still football
Theres still drinking
But all this occurs on a day that is not Thanksgiving
Its really a wonderful idea
Everything you like about the holidays without it being ruined by the fact that its a holiday
Without the awkward silence that comes from sitting at a table with your relatives for hours before you realize that you dont really have all that much to say to each other
Without having to be interviewed about work
Without having to explain where I live
Without having to explain the tattoos to my grandmother
Without having to explain why I still shave my head but won't shave my face
Without getting into a fight with my grandmother about not sitting down
Without explaining why it is again that Im not eating turkey
