I feel like a douche bag. So I told the guy I hit that I don't want to get insurance involved but I asked him to help me pay for the damage to my car since I did technically have the right of way. I went around and tried to find the cheapest, fix the bare minimum to make it drivable I could find. I got once place to fix the headlights, the bumber, and a few other essenials for 950 something dollars and split down the middle thats 475 each. Not to bad right? Well the guy I hit is from France and now he can't afford to go home over the summer to see his family. I'm glade that he is being nice about it. I think Im being nice too...I hope. I wanted to save my tax refund money on moving expenses and fixing other things in my car but that really isn't a bid deal I suppose. I just feel really bad for him but I can't afford to fix my car on my own especially if it wasn't all my own fault in the first place. This sucks.
