Dust seems to have settled..a little something I wrote a while ago..
An eternal bond
The feeling of love today. Being with a significant other. Building a life according to that what is expected of lovers.
According to that what is expected.
It seems somewhat strange to me how a general and universal subject such as love can be narrowed down so much.
So many rules to live by. So many do's and don'ts.
One should come to think that love has been transformed to just another system.
It is actually quite easy to come to this. We follow certain "rules" as it were in order to have a prefect love. Those rules include being faithfull. The common definition of being faithfull is not giving your body in any sexual or sensual manner to another, and may even go as far as not looking at another. Apparently it is ok to have feelings for someone else, as long as you can stay faithfull.
Please note the tone of sarcasm.
I wonder where people's desire to tie their bodies down comes from.
For one, lust is but a mere instinct. However, in order to have a good relationship that instinct should be surpressed.
To have someone being faithful, it also seems best to act jealous. This off course, only to remind the other one to remain faithful.
Jealousy is very often a reflection of one's own issues and insecurities. If you would actually have faith in someone else (or be faithful) you would not have to doubt the fact this person always being there for you.
What is more is that jealousy seems to be the gateway for both parties to express their insecurities in a legitimate way.
It is not ok to doubt yourself wether or not you are good enough for someone, but it is ok to be jealous.
Hm.
Same deal, different name.
People love to focus on the physical part of things. Whatever you do emotionally is ok, just don't mess with the body!
Lick lick
Then what? Love seems to have become a mere excuse for wanting company rather then just letting it be.
If you would completely trust one and other, where would that lead? Would one even face bounderies?
Is love not simply knowing?
Simply knowing there is a silent acceptance. Simply knowing there is unconditional trust. Simply knowing that you are allowed to make mistakes, and that the other will catch you when you fall.
After all, you can't learn if you don't make mistakes.
It is very simple really.
No emotions.
No jealousy.
No anger.
No complexities.
Just breathing that what is.
Living the moment, cherishing the moment but being able to let it go as well.
No more self created bounderies, no more mixed emotions in a razorsharp creation we tend to call love.
Being able to just be. Someone else to just accept that, and who can simply be with you.
No matter wether it is in a friendship or in a relationship.
That is the basic of being. Not focusing on the the apple we tend to call love, but becoming the entire tree.
Going beyond.
Gone.
Yeah...always had a philosophical mind
Simple things do make me happy...someone messaging me because I wrote a poem for that person brings more of an honest smile to my face then most people can with their fake stories...those few trying to cheer me up when I'm down ...the morning sun on my face...just...simple things...things that lie in the moment..
I love running through fallen leaves...I loved when I was a child, why would it be any different now?
I love to cuddle. I don't cuddle too many, but those I do give a cuddle it is with all my heart.
Maybe I am naive.
But so few believe in honest, good and smart people anymore..
