My roommate had mentioned this to me over the weekend when he got back, but I didn't think i would hear anything about it so soon. Pocosin Arts, the gallery in our hometown of Columbia, is partnering up with Jerry Jackson of Greenville to put together an exhibition called 100 Under 100. The idea being that you have dozens of artists submit numerous pieces of work for sale, all priced $100 and under.
i really need to get my shit together for this. it's in only a few weeks so i really need to bust my ass to put together some pieces to show. what really gets me though, is the fact that they put my name under the list of "Invited Artists." it really makes me want to push even harder to come up with some really awesome pieces. here's to crossed fingers and anxious hearts.
