I'M BAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!
Chicago effing ROCKED . I had a great time . Lots of really cool stuff and really amazing folks out there . I got to do some touristy stuff like going to the Sears Tower ( I've never been in a building where my ears popped going up in the elevator !!!! THAT is a tall-ass building . ) , and Wrigley Field ( Home of the Chicago Cubs baseball team ) . I also got to see something that was completely unexpected . We went to Chicago's Museum Of Science And Industry , which was incredibly entertaining . I got to see an actual German U-Boat that was captured during WWII , AND I also got to see this exhibit . It was AMAZING . On one hand it made me feel like I walked into a scene from Hellraiser ( Minus the scary demons with nails in their head trying to kill me ) , and on the other hand it was just unbelievably interesting . If you get a chance to see it , you DEFINITELY should .
Then on Labor Day me and my friend wound up downtown by Wrigley Field where ther was a Jimmy Buffet concert going on that we didn't know about . The entire area was crammed full of crazy drunk people wearing Hawaiian shirts and parrots on hteir heads . It was AWSOME!!! We stumbled into a Reggae bar in the middle of downtown Chicago and drank Red Stripe ( HOORAY BEER!!! ) with crazy women in grass skirts and coconut bras...and , oddly enough , a couple of guys wearing the same outfit .
It was strange , but fun . We even went out one night and ate dinner at one of those Medieval Times restaraunts where the people dress up like serfs and bar wenches and they have live jousting tournaments!!!! The best part was that I got to eat a huge chunk of chicken and a baked potato with my hands 'cause they don't give you silverware . ROCK!!!!
All in all , I had a great time . I would happily move to that city if given the opportunity . The Windy city was good to me .
