I had to go back to my home town for the weekend for a funeral . When I was growing up and that place was all that I knew it seemed so huge . Now I go back and realize just how small it really is . I saw almost as many people on horses as I did in cars . No bullshit .

I saw a bunch of my relatives that I haven't seen in probably ten or fifteen years . Most of my cousins who were close to my age were just about all married and had kids . Makes me feel old . The absolute WORST part was everybody asking "When are YOU going to get married and have kids ???" . God , I hate that .

I even ran into one of my old friends that I used to hang out with in high school . even HE was married and had a three year old daughter . I asked him where his wife and kid were . He says " I don't know where my wife is . I left the kid in a closet back home . She had a bowl of food and water , so she'll be fine . I even left her a couple of steak knives to play with . She likes shiny things . " Yep . That's the kind of people who I call friends .
