My mum's been staying with me for the last week or so. Don't get me wrong, I love her to death but the two of us in my one bedroom apartment is just a recipe for disaster. First of all, she decided that nothing in my flat is organized properly. Now that it's organized to her standards, I can't find ANYTHING!!! Pots and pans are in the cupboard where the plates used to be, I have towels where my tool chest used to be and I can't find any of my climbing gear. I can't wait till she's gone (3 hours...not that I'm counting!) so I can put everything back in it's rightful spot. Although all of this sucks, it's not the worst thing she's done. She went through my sex toy drawer, pulled out a vibrator and commented that she had the same one! Too much information mum! Then she went on to say that my GRANDMA isn't happy with her vibrator and she's trying to convince her to buy the same one that she, and I have. I don't know which is worse, knowing my grandma uses sex toys or the fact that my mum has the same taste in toys as me! I CAN NEVER USE THAT VIBRATOR AGAIN WITHOUT THINKING ABOUT MY MUM!
Tomorrow, I'm going shopping for new toys.
Tomorrow, I'm going shopping for new toys.
my.
lord.
It's like some sort of hollywood movie, or sitcom. "Honey, I LOVE your vibrator! I have the same one, but it's in pink!! What setting do you use? And do you ever, you know, put it there??"
sometimes parents and children have that kind of relationship. Sometimes siblings can, but in most conventional relationships, you should never have a sex toy talk with a parent.
Not ever.
For boys, you just pray your parents never find your masturabtion material and, if they do, it is never mentioned.
But if you have a weird and good relationship from the start, and that's how the family dynamic is... then run with it.
But most people don't have that relationship and if you don't, then damn... there should be no running with it.
And your gram uses the same vibe? Y.i.k.e.s.
o.O
As for reorganizing, ugh. I know. I'm particular, and if shit goes in the wrong spot it can be incredibly frustrating. I get a bit of a panic attack at times. I'm mostly disorganized, but there are certain things that go in a specific spot, and if they're moved, I'm fucked. God forbid the grater gets moved somewhere else.
/shudder.
And no one best touch my video game things! The thought just makes me cringe... Oooh, or my movie collection.
Sigh. Stupid ocdish behaviour...
