It is 1am and I've just finished working, I'll be up for 7 in order to start again!! What a laugh!! Still, I guess I need the pennies wherever I can now so I shan't complain. I can always sleep later!!
I now have a lovely house in Canterbury, 10 mins to uni, 15 at a slow canter to the city centre and the room is huuuuuge!! Thankfully, I was OK with taking a single somewhere but was not looking forward to squeezing back in to a tiny bed again!!
Uni is OK, it's not really gripping yet. I think there is a lack of tuition to blame. I think it is a challenge and a learning curve for those younger than me to start being self focussed and to work without being told when. I'm in a different position where I have given up work and moved and made some aspects of my life a lot trickier to do this so I need it to prove itself useful quickly. I am in sculpture for the next few weeks, maquette making again...
I quite enjoy this, I am still trying to get my head around the "point" of sculpture. I know why I draw, why I paint....But sculpture is new, I don't know what I want to do with it. Reading the essays and interviews with people like Cornelia Parker and Richard Serra are fascinating and very challenging. I dig it! We'll see.
Should be booking up the erlin trip for Febuary, which is cool. I went years and years ago but was too young to really appreciate it. Plus it wasn't that long after the reunification so I think things are very different there now.
There was some more stuff I was gong to write, but I'm too tired!! So I wont! ah well...another time!! xx

Yes you're lucky.

In Canterbury right? That was where my uni had their year long England study abroad program.
