Maaaaan!! I am pooped!!
Spent the day in London, A beautiful early morning stroll along the river side and over the millenium bridge to the Tate modern (sandwich in hand)...followed by the obligatory coffee (which I'm trying to phase out gradually!) Spent a few hours going through the collections and then sat for half an hour in the Rothko room. Best I've felt in a long time. His paintings have such an awesome vibe and weight to them. It's actually very calming. I realise how priviledged i am to be able to do things like this at times.
Another brief walk and popped up at the Royal academy for the russian art show. Which was fecking great! So many pieces I've studied but never seen. Supremitist stuff mainly, I was quite suprised how powerful a lot of it was! Guess there's normally a reason things are world famous!!hehe! Still, so glad the show opened and we promised not to give the works back to their owners!hehe! Ain't Russia grand!
Quick poodle down piccadilly to the national Gallery and a wee glance at the Van gogh's and Leonardo cartoon which i never tire of seeing. Then to the station to meet a friend and back for a coffee with said lass.
I am now completely shattered and looking forward to bed! Have been a busy bugger sorting things out too with Canterbury looming and all sorts of other things to sort. Bout time i got off my arse.
Tomorrow for valentines...i will probably hit the gym!! hehe! The romance, the sweat, the 5k runs!! Exciting times eh?!hahaha!
I must source a haircut this week too...it's getting out of hand now, I dont mind looking like I've been dragged through a field if i have been...but all the time is getting old!! In truth I really need to pay myself a little more attention - and get some more clothes!! No wonder Valentines is lasagne for One!!!
mehehe! (OK...it's still gonna be a 2 person lasagne..I'm just a fucking pig!)
Think I shall have a shower and a shave and then to bed, I've had to retire the beard as I kept getting really bad ingrown hairs which got properly shagged a few weeks ago! Seems I must expose my pastey cheeks to the world afterall!!
