Saturday night beneath the plastic palm tree's dancing to the sounds of the guns of Naverone.
So, the last couple of weeks have seen him building bridges, pricing Piano's, cementing new found friendships and fighting flak from femanists.
The latter is a long story involving a gig in Bolton at which his new friend was performing whom he drove there as her chapperone to find himself to be the only Male in the building. Whilst some of the flak was friendly, some of it wasn't and he found it all rather intimidating. Had we been informed it was a ladies only event before hand, neither he nor she would have brazenly walked into the venue having travelled the 120 or so miles to get there crying out for the bathrooms and a cup of tea. He got his own back though, he won the first two prizes in the raffle ! Oh the irony. He's still not sure what anoyed the Millie Tants more. The fact he won the Mountain Bike, or gave it back to be raffeld off again and kept the book of femanist poetry to enlighten himself with ?
Last night at the Diskotek was all rather boring and tedious. Too many little " hip young things " crying into their vodkas at his point blank refusal to play the Liber-tweenies or Razorsh#te. But hey ho, you get weeks like that. They got The Bravery and The Killers as a token indie gesture, what more do they want ?
Tonight was far more enlightening as he went out for Pizza and Pasta and a lighthearted movie with his all singing friend and he had a most pleasurable time in getting her away from her guitar and stage and regular entourage. Here's to more to come.
Has been a good day all round really having had the Junior one over all day practicing bending his "free kicks" over and around the sofa whilst the Junior explained to him the merits of "Slifer The Sky Dragon" over "Obelisk The Tormentor" ? Ancient Gods from Yu-Gi-Oh! evidently. Well he his only 7 bless him but he's just so damn adorable. How i miss him the twelve days of the fortnight i don't see him. But it is Easter next weekend and i get him for an extra two days yay.
Sleep calls, so until next time,..........
