I so have nothing interesting or exciting to say.
23 days without nicotine and not missing it at all,..... hmmm,...yeah right,....... bloody liar !......
Still working out 6 days a week and putting on weight ! Yeah i know,... muscle weighs heavier than fat,...so like putting on weight must be a good thing then ?
Still reeling and buzzing from last weeks Pink Grease gig.
The countdown to the end of another year is on,,..it'll be a strange one this year,... first one in,......lordy,... how many years was i with Su,.....sheeesh,......that long huh ?,.... What does one do by ones self on their birthday ? ..........Answers on a postcard i guess ! Maybe i'll go buy me a birthday cake and drive up to Flamborough on the coast, and watch the waves crash into the caves and unwind for a couple of hours. Me likes Flamborough,...i guess its one of my special places where time stands still for a little while.
And just realised,.....its 20 years ago to the day that i went into Strawberry Studios in Stockport with the guys from New Order to record Nyam-Nyams single for Factory. We were in Studio 1 and the Sisters of Mercy were in studio 2 ( bless 'em,...Eldritch you still owe me a tener for that Chinease take away ! ). What a great 4 days they were. The PPG's and Fairlight keyboards, all with colour coded stickers on the keys for Gillian to know which ones to press for certain songs. And oh how Scalliwag, in a drunken stupor, peeled half of them off and swapped them around with Hooky's help for a laugh, after being down to the great Hacienda and spending half the night taking the P#ss out of some poor ginger haired geek called Mick Hucknall ! Oh to be that age again,. huh ?
Life's good, i will always have those times and more, and maybe next year i'll get around to finishing off that Classical piece i started work on ! Now that would be an achievement after all this time !
