Desi is just another term for an Indian, so your mom's the desi. However, it sounds like she is actually a Parsee (the Zoroastrians who migrated to India from Persia over 1,000 years ago). I have known some Parsees in the past. That's an interesting religion. I feel you on the race thing. Pretty soon everyone will be a mix and it'll matter much less.....awesome about being 100% vegan cell-wise. From what I understand, brain cells don't regenerate, so I can attribute any stupidness to my non-vegan brain cells. Hahaha....they'll probably find out they're wrong about the brain cells not regenerating in 50 years....
