Sorry, I have been offline for a while. I went home to visit my mother and sister for a few days...

Well, I'm back now. And in the last few days my life has been turned upside down.

I'll come back to tell you more, once this feeling of vertigo has somewhat subsided... skull biggrin

man. that sucks. i'm really sorry. i won't even spout some dumb cliche that won't make anything better. i feel for ya - i hope all turns out well.

on a slightly different foot - your thesis sounds so cool! i don't really know icelandic poetry. but i suppose you get that a lot? i think, like in jr high, i checked out and read a book of norse myths that had been converted into prose. i remember i thought they were cool - and any story where thunder gods cross dress has to pretty damn cool & filled w/lots of fun gender issues. can i ask what your take on the piece is? i'm all excited just thinking about it - starting a project is the best! you're all filled w/crazy ideas & ambition! lucky for you!
also, do you speak the language that the poems are written in? are you translating your own stuff? if so, that's hella cool.

I really, really, REALLY should be getting on with that thesis I'm supposed to write. Well, I say "get on", but in fact I haven't really started yet. ANd I don't feel like doing anything today, I don't even want to leave the house, just sleep sleep sleep.

Oh gods, help me... I knew this was going to happen. And now there's no stopping it...

I skipped both concerts last night - better to disappoint two friends than to chose one over the other, eh? wink Didn't feel much like going out anyway.
