today is a strange one...Im excessively happy, full of vigor yet spattered with disgust and dreams of false hope and disillusionment...
The world is both the best and worst place...
Firstly the important stuff...
I was reading in the independant today that an 11 year old girl passed out in class last week...from smoking heroin!!!!This is absolutely disgusting. Apparently she'd been smoking it for months and buying 10 bags from a woman at a shopping centre...The independant referred to her as a victim of circumstance because she didnt know she was doing anything wrong. In England she is the youngest person to have been found under the influence (with the exception of children born to mothers addicted to heroin).
Also in the indpendant today...the UN has plans to free up $7trn dollars to change the world and recify many of the problems...this i must say is a fucking awesome idea!!! i fucking love the UN i think its one of those institutions to be proud of you know!!! but alas...this is where it goes tits-up...to free up this money they need to organise all of the UN member countries financial budgets and make sure there is no waste. I fully agree that they can make a good effort but i feel that there will be some countires that will oppose this noble scheme. notabley here the UN is going to try and help curb the green house gas emmittions by offering that countries can trade their 'rights to pollute'? Crazy? but what it means is that countries that are not substantial polluters can sell their 'pollution limits' (or excess there of) to other countries...this is a novel way and i think it may be successful but can you imagine america signing it? No fucking way...i seem to remember America's reaction at the Kyoto Protocol...What im trying to say is that the UN is on to a good idea but to behonest its not going to be plausible yet. All of the countries are not singing form the same song sheet and some have louder voices than others and can the UN possibly expect complete its mission without everyone working together....i think not...
also i sent a payment for ebay (by postal order) but without the full address so it will go no where apparently!!!! grrr....ahhahahaha
Despite that:
I had an awesome lecture and seminar with a lecturer whom i really respect; he's a complete legend. It was about theorising media history within britain. Probably one of the worse subjects but i felt as if i'd learned something. Also i picked up three essays i had submitted before christmas. I was pretty concerned because i wrote 13000 words in six days and did the reading too. So yeah i was bricking it! Anyway i got three 2:1's which is awesome and i'm happy though not proud because im fucking lazy...
Have an awesome day every body!
