So, I was suppose to go to this. Here is what happened to me:
I went to a near by pub to get some food before the event, and potentially meet up with some peeps. First off the peeps never met up with me. I don't know if they made it and just didn't see me or didn't show. I know I was kind of hidden in the corner, sitting by the faux fireplace. I ordered a sprite, which took about 5 minutes to get to me. The waitress then took about 15 more to come by and ask if I wanted anything to eat. I ordered some chicken tenders. The took about 15 minutes to get to me, which is pretty good I would think for a busy pub on a Friday.
I take a bite of on chicken tender, it was hot. I took another bite, it was warm and kind of chewyer than normal. I thought it was batter or something. I take a third bite, this one was really tough to get through. I look at the tender and see that it FUCKING RAW!!!!! That's right. I ATE FUCKING RAW CHICKEN!!!!
Needless to say, it took the waitress about another 15 minutes to come by again and ask if I wanted ketchup or something. I said no to the ketchup, but the chicken was, well, a little raw. She agreed with me and took back my plate. Another 15 minutes later I got another order. This one was ok, but I totally lost my appetite from the first one.
After that, I said I wanted to bill. It took 45 minutes for her to find the manager to remove one of the chicken tenders on my bill, because the only way to get another order was to put another on my bill.
When I got my bill the nice people took off 25% from the food I had. Gee thanks. You could have poisoned me and you are giving me a 25% discount on a $12 meal. So, $3 to make me feel better about the meal and my experience. Lets just say, I didn't give that good of a tip.
So between the FUCKING RAW chicken, me sitting by the fireplace, or just being tired. I didn't feel so good. In fact, at some points I felt like barfing. But I didn't . So I decided to skip the event. Meh, I wouldn't have known anyone there anyways, and felt totally uncomfortable. Sometimes I don't like being an introvert.
So, yeah... how did your night go readers?
