I was going to do my taxes yesterday. I clean up my kitchen table of any lose paper, because that is where I put all my mail/bills. I get all my forms in order. I go to find my calculator, because I am doing it by hand, and I can't find it.
I take a stroll up to my bedroom because I might have taken it up there to do some math before I go to bed, seeing how if there is math in my head I usually can't sleep until I get an answer. I check all my dressers. Nothing. I check behind them just in case it dropped back there. I even check the drawers to see if the quackulator is there. Nope not in my bedroom.
I go check by my computer. There might be a chance I would have used it there, because the computer can't do the complex addition of two numbers, no. I check my desk (aka the table where my computer sits), I check the little table I have beside my chair. No results.
I go then check my living room because the device may have been removed from my jacket or backpack at some point. I check my coffee table, by my tv, the bookshelves, the ground area where I have lots of dvds and games. Nothing.
I check my kitchen. I don't know why I would take the calculator in there, but it is the only place left besides the bathroom, and I know I wouldn't take an adding machine there. I check on top of my microwave and fridge. Nothing.
I give up on finding my calculator and doing my taxes. I figure I would get me another calculator and do my taxes this weekend.
Today, as I get into my car to go for tea, I notice that there are some napkins in the backseat area of my car. I remember my parents sitting back there and taking some napkins with them. I pick up the napkins and decide I should put these in my glove box. Then I would have some napkins in my car. I open my glove box and find my calculator.
Oh, thats where I left you. I remember taking you out of my jacket one time while I was in the car. I can't remember what I was doing, but I do remember taking you out. Poor buddy. Now I can start my taxes... this weekend.
Other than that, I feel sad. I don't know why. Maybe a lack of attention and/or physical human contact is getting me numbed.
Have a great day readers.

It's ALWAYS in the place you never think to look. Which makes it hard, because you never think to look there. Which just makes an incredibly ludicrous chain of events.
