Update:
Sorry for the dely readers, I have been at more the 15 comments for awhile. I have been working 10-12 hours days for the past week. I will also appolgize for not commenting on anyone's blogs during that time too.
Now on with the update....
Thursday (last Thursday):
Worked 11 hours. Had tea with the gothies. Had a great time, but I think one of the guys there isn't too fond of me.
When he arrived it was only me and him. The first thing he asks me is are there others coming. I try to answer to the best of my abilities, but I really don't know if anyone is going to show up on any given outting. The guy then starts calling others to show up. Then when he gets one phone call and goes away from the table for like 10 minute, leaving me on my own. He gets back, starts talking to me, and some others show up. When he realizes this, he gets up and leaves me alone at the table again. After the others all got seated back at the table, the dude gets a call, but this time he remains at the table.
Am I seeing to much into this, or what?
Friday:
Work 12 hours. Guitar Hero II when I get home.
Saturday:
Went to my parrent's place. My cousin from Vancouver was in. Just turned 18 and decided to come get drunk in Alberta. It was great to see her. Played some great games and had some great food. We then went over to my aunts place for some more food. Played some more games.
My aunt and uncle kept calling their neighbors durring the night. You see they like the Edmonton Oilers (YAY!) and the neighbors cheer for the Calgary Flames (BOOOO!). They live right across from each other and their living room windows can be looked at. Well a bet was made between them that if the Flames lost, the wife will roll naked in the snow in the front lawn and if the Oilers lost, my dad would flash them from the front window. Well, just say my dad's pant were opened that night in a public place.
The phone calls kept coming and one prank call had my 18 year old cousin act like a Chinese masseuse trying to confirm a appointed with someone. It was halious, especially when the last thing she said was "NO APPY ENDING FO YOU!" Too funny.
Anyways, I whipped some ass in some crainium. I am invisible in that game! HAHAHAHA!
I then stayed over at my parent's house, well firstly because I had to drive them home and I had to give my mother my Sam while my mom's truck was in the shop.
Sunday:
I get dropped off back at my place in the morning. Play some more guitar hero and basically putz around for the day.
Monday:
11 hours at work, no rest for the weary.
Tuesday:
11 more hours at work.
Wednesday:
Worked for 11 hours, and found out I am a hug slut and my coworker is a hug whore.
On the way to tea with the gothies, I saw some wet beaver. Hehehe.... I had to cross a river and I saw a beaver that dive into the water. I wanted to go catch the wet beaver, but my co-worker that I was walking with that it was a bad idea, get didn't want to get all wet from the beaver. Oh, did I mention, wet beaver. Tee hee!
Got to the meeting location, started to read my book. The same dude from last week showed up early too. And the first thing he did was ask me who else is coming, and called some more people to get there soon. One person did show up and then for the rest of the night I was completely ignore. I tried to make a joke but it didn't go over very well, you guys tell me:
The one dude thought that one of the waitresses looked like another male friend of two sitting there. My response for the mistake identity was because the male friend had big boobs? They both go to explain why he thought the waitress was the male friend, and didn't even laugh. Hmmmm.... Was my timing off?
When it was time for me to leave, because I had to work early. Only two people acknowledged my leaving, and one of them was guy that just showed up, I got a hand shake from him.
The question is, am I ignored becuase I am not being accepted by these people, or because they don't know about me. If it is because they don't know, then why don't they get to know me. The best way to do that is to listen to them talk. If they are not talking, you have to ask questions, or am I wrong about this. Or maybe it is the way I am in a group. I just tend to listen and learn about people. I will only speak in a group situation for the following reasons:
- there is a question directed to me
- I have something funny to say
- I feel like someone needs to be defended
- I feel like argueing
- I need clarification on something
- there is a lull in conversation and I start something up, which in the a group situation isn't very often
With the gothies, they all appear to be extroverts. They say what is on their mind and just go with it. I in turn perfer to be an introvert.
Meh, whatever, I know there is some people that show up that enjoy my company.
Thursday + Friday:
Worked from 7 AM to 4 AM Friday morning. God I was tired. Needless to say, I have taken today off. I got some naps in there, but god!!!! There was something that needed to get finished for Sunday morning. I was not planning to come in Saturday to work and I knew that the work usually takes me two day to complete, so I wanted to stay late Thursday night. I started the work at 5 PM that night, and come 11 PM I only had the one seventh of it complete. So, I decided to do one more seventh and continue on. The next seventh took me less time than expected. I just started firing through all the work. At 2 AM I only had one seventh to do, I decided, what the hell. I took the next two hours and completed it.
I was the ghosts of Christmas, I did it all in one night! I think it just took less time because there was no one to fight for resources over, not even our automated processes. Next time I have to work on the some thing, I am going to come in the evening and work on it then.
Well, I have to go call my bank to get some cheques coming my way. Then I will catch up with all you peeps! And maybe shower first...
Have a great day readers!
