15 comment = I update
Monday:
Worked 11 hours. Wanted to get food be didn't. Had the last remaining meal in my house.
Tuesday:
Worked only 8 hours. Got food, had a meal. YAY!
Wednesday:
Work 11 hours again. I am racking in the hours.
And the first meet up took place:
Okay, I have admit. I was kind of a jerk tonight. My appologies to those that came. Namely CommunistCanuck, Lavonne, Michele (got the spelling right this time ) and Michele's guest.
Maybe a story will help explain things:
When I got there, Da Canuck was sitting at a table reading. He glanced at me and I thought he looked familar but I was unsure of who he might be. Since I did not get a sense of recognition from his part, I went to the counter and got me some hot chocolate.
While waiting for my hot chocolate, which I must ask; is that made with soy milk? It sure was good. Anyways, Lavonne walked and again some sort of recognition popped into my head. But when I looked, there was no recognition on her part either. She came and stood behind me. I turned to her and told her I wasn't in line to order when the til was free.
When I got my cup, I went and sat down and pulled my book out of my bag. I started to read. When Lavonne got her order, she came and sat down in a chair right beside me and kind of beside Da Canuck. When she opened her book and started to read, that is when I finally figure out who she was. And I recognized Da Canuck, well more as the dude from SG, but I can't remember his screen name right now.
Then the observer in me kicked in. I noticed that three people were almost sitting side by side, reading their respective books waiting for people to show up, the same people that were reading near them. I had to chuckle to myself. Then I had question pop into my mind, which one of these things is going to happen:
a. Lavonne will recognize one of us (or both) and start up a conversation
b. Da Canuck will rcognize one of us (or both) and start up a conversation
c. Someone else will show up, recognize us all sitting there reading, waiting (probably laugh) and brings us all together to chat.
d. None of the above
If you picked c or d, you are half right. Michele, which I didn't realize until much later in the evening, and a guest showed up. But she and Lavonne recognized each other immediately and went away from me and Da Canuck.
When I realized that it was Michele that walked in, I was too far into my book to be taken away. I had to finish it. But I was able to evesdrop on the conversation every now and again.
Well, Michele and I had some hellos, followed quickly with good-byes.
I am appologizing because I recognized everyone and didn't bring the event together. I am not blaming any one else but myself for the event that took place.
Next time I will be more vocal about it.
Well, that was my update. No progress on the goals thus far, have been too busy with the work. Phew.
Have a great day readers!

Hehe
That's really funny. I wonder how many people i've met on SG and bumped into on the street and haven't recognized.
