As promised.... "Friday's" Post....
Shortly after the game night I asked to be on her friend list on the dating site. She totally accepted it.

A week later I was to meet up with Carrie again at her house. She was going to take me down to a local geek shop and we were going to get my first set of Magic cards. I was totally happy with that. When I arrived Carrie and Mary were just returning from a walk. Carrie informed me there was going to be a change in plans and that Sam was going to come with us. He had an appointment downtown and we were going to give him a lift. I had problems with this.
This is not my first trip to a geek shop. I have been in one when I was in junior high. I had a great time with the stuff I bought from those shops, and I still have them. There are dice and books in a dresser draw in my room.
When we arrived, I gave Sam a handshake and he thanked me for the ride. That was the last time I ever talked to him Oh, he is okay. It is just that I didnt talk to him again.
We went inside and the girls started looking at the board games. The Cheapass games to be more precise. As the girls were looking at the games, Carrie again stated, You are not looking at the games. This reminded me of our first encounter together, and I still had the same thought in the back of my mind, I am looking at something more beautiful right now.
So we go up to the guy as the register who is guarding the cards. Carrie tells the man, My friend here want to start playing Magic, and we want to set him up with a basic deck. The guy behind the counter almost fell off his stool. Imagine two women are going to get a guy hooked started on Magic. I dont think the guy saw that coming.
I got me a starter green and blue deck and a couple of Unhinged expansion packs. Mary got a couple of them too. Carrie was feeling left out and couldnt buy any of her own because of money problem. I wanted to step in and help, but I remember that I wouldnt take pity on her status. Mary on the other hand had no problems with that and bought Carrie an Unhinged pack too.
We went back to Chez Geek to play some Magic. Mary couldnt find her deck when we returned; she had to borrow Carries. Carrie was playing with a blue and white deck, Mary with a black and red deck and me with my new blue and green deck. We played one round and I got my ass kicked, because I didnt know what I was doing. I think Carrie won that first one.
During this first round, we were talking about running noses. Carrie made the statement that I shouldnt worry that she had some leaches up stairs. I was all like, what do you mean leaches? She said you put them up your nose and they make the runniness go away. I looked at Mary and she started laughing. This was Carries weird sense of humor that I just saw. I liked it; I havent been that silly in a long time. I liked her sense of humor, it is so child like. Like my humor sometimes.
We had a smoke break and ordered some pizza. Mmmm pizza. During this smoke break Carrie and Mary let me know of some of their friends. They were trying to leave that group because there was this one guy that kept bothering them. He was a self-proclaimed asshole. But for some reason they kept letting him back into the group.
We played another round. The pizza arrived and we stopped to eat. During this one, Jerry woke up and came down to see what was going on. Carrie got up right away and greeted Jerry. They kissed and Jerry spouted, I believe in miracles just like the song. This made all three of us laugh.
I think then Mary had to be somewhere so she left the game. This left me to fend for myself against Carrie as Jerry watched. I lost, but I had a good stand off going with Carrie for quite some time.
Jerry then went and showered as me and Carrie had another more game. I totally destroyed her. She couldnt get any mana going so it was easy to get all my fodder to take her out.
We then started the last game; Carrie added some mana to her deck to help herself out. We played for like an hour before Jerry showed up again and left. 15 minutes later, I lost the final battle.
Then we went out to the porch while Carrie had a smoke. She talked to her neighbors about things. Then Carrie turned to me and asked, So what do you want to do now?
In my mind, I drew a blank. The first thing that came into my head was crib. So I asked if she wanted to play some crib. She agreed.
In retrospect, I wondered what I could have said that she would not agree to.
We played one game of crib, which I won, and she said she was tired. She gave me a quick hug and off I went.
I learned that day that I have found some people that I like to hang with and play games with. And I LOVE Magic.

The next day Carrie gives me a call. She says that she and Mary are going to get some bubble tea and was wondering if I would like to come along. My parents were making a large dinner and I didnt want to bail on them. I wanted to go but I think it was better to stay with the rents that day.
I appreciate that she called me out of the blue. I was totally looking for that in friends. It made me smile.

I didnt see Carrie for two weeks. We had messaged each other over those two weeks but I was a little down. The best I could describe it was that I was missing something, missing her. I even let her know I was feeling this way too. She said she missed me too. That made me smile.
I think it was around this time that I also stumbled onto Carries journal and Jerrys journal. I was really interested in Jerrys journal as it applied to polyamory. It was very interesting. I also enjoyed reading Carries journal. Most of which was just what she was feeling at times.

The following weekend Carrie and Jerry hosted another games night and I was invited. Teri was there too and well as a co-worker of Jerrys and her boyfriend. They were a cool couple.
Before all the guests arrived Carrie and me started a game of Magic.
We started again with Fence and Fencibility. I think Jerry won that game again. Then we moved onto Cranium. (Awesome game!) There was Jerry, his co-workers boyfriend and his co-worker on the couch, while Teri, Carrie and me were on the floor opposed to them. It was guy against the girls. I cant remember who won, but it was fun to the max.
During the games Carrie had an itch on her back, which she couldnt reach. So I decided to scratch the itch for her. I think I scratched for about 30 seconds before she said for me to stop. Jerrys co-worker saw that Carrie was really enjoying it. I think that when Carrie made a comment that my hand were really soft. And I think I put an offer of $10 hand jobs on the table. It was also the first time I put my hand on her bare skin, and it felt great.
After a couple of hours of playing games, Jerrys co-worker and boyfriend left. I think at this time Carrie was going into the kitchen behind us. She called Jerrys name and did this very sexy look in her eyes and crooked her finger for Jerry to come to her. Jerry followed her.
Not to over hear them, and to distract Teri from hearing too, I decided to start up a conversation with Teri. I cant remember what we were talking about but I dont think it was important.
When Carrie and Jerry returned, Carrie had a blanket and some allergy drugs. She said she was going to have a smoke, and I followed. She then let me know what was going on. She wanted Teri to spend the night with Jerry. She was planning to stay on the couch. She told me that Jerry had not had an extra relationship since they have gotten married. Then she let me know that she wanted me to help her tonight. I told her I would have if she had let me know about plan.
She then said she had a few lovers since they were married. She loved women. She also went on to say that she fell in love easily, made friend easily, and that she was just plain easy. I thought this was some very weird information that she just gave out. But she was drunk at the time so I let it slide.
She then came right out and asked if I was anorexic. I know I am a skinny guy. And most people dance around the subject of my weight. Like why dont you eat more? But she came right out with it. She said that she was worried about me. I told her that I just dont feel hungry most of the time that is why I dont eat.
I was impressed. No one has ever said it like that. I was good to know that someone cares enough about me to flat out ask me about my weight.
We then went inside and I gave here a big hug, gathered my things, said my goodbyes to Jerry and Teri, and off I went.
The bad news was that Teri didnt spend the night. Too bad.

My parents went to Edmonton the following weekend and my uncle was suppose to get into town that weekend too. My uncle was coming to Calgary from Vancouver because he got promotion here. My aunt was coming later in November.
I phoned up Carrie, but she wasnt awake so I left a message.
I fixed the tire on my parents vehicle in hopes that I would see Carrie that weekend. It took me about and hour or so. But I did it all on my own. I was very proud of myself.
I took a shower and waited for the call back from Carrie. Then I heard a knock at the door. I answered it to find my uncle and his friend there. I helped them unpack my uncles stuff. Then we went to go see if we could get my Uncle a new car, because he is going to need something to drive to work on Monday.
Here is a little tidbit of info: car dealerships close really early on Friday nights. So we strolled in the car lot for a while then back home for some supper. Then my uncle and his friend watched some TV with me. Then they packed it in for the night before midnight.
I checked my email. I noticed a message from Carrie. She was sorry that she didnt call me back, but it was late and didnt want to wake up anybody. I messaged her back and told her it would be okay. She asked it truly was. My parents and brother werent home, my uncle and his friend are heavy sleepers, I could have had a freakin party and wouldnt wake them up.
She called me. We talked for about 10 minutes before she asked me to send her my msn name. I did.
We then spent the night talking about erotica, relationships, music and sex.
She told me that her last girlfriend cheated on her with Sam, while she was went back to Texas for some time. She also claimed that she didnt talk to Sam for over a year when she got back.
We talked about how I havent ever had a relationship, never had sex, and the only time I had kissed a girl was during a truth or dare game, where they were just pecks on the lips. She let me know of her other past relationships.
She made me listen to some James Blunt. And made me a fan of his work. Brilliant!
She showed me some good *cough* pictures of herself.
She made me promise to stop saying sorry every five minutes to her. She was worried that if I kept doing that people would walk all over me.
She also told me that she missed having a girlfriend.
This MSN conversation lasted for about 5 hours. I couldnt believe it. This girl has asked me questions that no one had ever asked of me. After this day she knew me better than anyone else on the planet, well besides myself.

So my birthday is fast approaching. And not having any other friends, I decide that I was just going to hang out with Carrie, Jerry and Mary. I call up Carrie and let her know that my birthday is a week away. I then ask her what I should do.
She comes back with, You should go out to a bar. I told her that I didnt like that idea. I am not into watching other people get drunk. Then she said, Why dont we throw you a birthday party. We will have cake and presents.
Wow. I didnt expect her to come with that. I just wanted to hang out, and they are going to through me a party.
*************
That weekend I called up Carrie again. I was bored and was feeling cramped in my house. My parents, my brother and my uncle were all there. I asked what she was up to. She said nothing. I asked if I could come over she was totally for that. We were planning to play some games with Mary.
I arrived and watching Freddy vs. Jason distracted us. Then we just sat on the couch together watch Home improvement shows on TLC. I apologized to Mary for not playing anything that night. Carrie was sitting at one end of the couch and I was sitting beside her.
Jerry was working late that night, doing extra credit stuff. He phone and asked Carrie to order some food from a pizza place. Jerry was going to pick it up. He brought it home and I didnt like what was on the pizza so I didnt eat.
I was still sitting next to Carrie on the couch and Jerry took a seat in a chair. I turned to him and asked if he wanted to sit next to his wife, seeing how he has not seen her all day. They agreed to that. I moved down to the other end of the couch, Carried moved to the middle and Jerry put himself at the other end.
As they ate, Jerry got a major headache. He looked like he was in total pain. He finished up his food and Carrie put him to bed. When Carrie came back, so let me know that we would not be able to spend any more time with me tonight. I understood. Her first duty is to her husband. I got another great hug and left giving my best wishes to Jerry.

The following weekend was my birthday party.
Before I went to the party, I bought myself a car. It is he sweetest car ever. I called her Samantha.
As usual, I showed up 30 minutes before they told me to. When I arrived they were still wrapping my gifts and I had to wait outside until they were finished. Jerry came out and we talked about our weeks at work. That guy is just works too hard. He put in a 60-hour workweek again. Monstrous.
Then Jerry went in to check on how things were going. I was left alone on the porch. They let me in after about 5 minutes.
I saw that they put some paper on the wall that said happy birthday. Carrie exclaimed, That is your birthday card. We are going to write on it. I liked it.
Then Carrie showed me my cake. It was awesome. It was chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a cream middle. Carried told me that all the guesses had to wear a silly hat.
Jerry the also brought out the ass-crispy squares. They were made with the flavoured marshmallows and rice-crispies. They were okay, but sometime the taste was like ass hence ass-crispy.
We then started to play some games while we waited for Teri and her boyfriend Barry to show up. I cant remember what we played. Carrie and Mary also went out to the porch for a smoke break and made up some fun items that they had to get me todo before they got cake. Mary let it out that some of them were pretty bad.
It wasnt long before Teri and Barry showed up. Barry then gave me an eatable Frisbee as my birthday gift. I actually had some of it much later and it wasnt that great. My first impression of Barry was that he had a great sense of wisdom around him; he certainly had a way with words.
Right off the bat, Mary asks me to bark like a dog, as that was the thing I had to do before she got cake. I did, I have no qualms about that. It is not the first time I have barked like a dog in front of people.
We started to play some poker right after that. During the course of the playing they had me sing Im a Little Tea Pot, which I did gladly. I think that was Barrys.
Teri and Jerry didnt get me todo theirs. I think Marys was for me to name all the shapes of Lucky Charms. I could have done that with my eyes close, even let them know of the changes that shapes had over the years. Jerrys was for me to name all 10 provinces of Canada and their capitals. HAHA. That might have happened but we will never know.
After I took them all to school in poker, it was time for cake. The dragged me into the kitchen where they lit the 25 candles on the cake. I looked around the room as they sang Happy Birthday to me. Well, Barry didnt sing, he looked like he was just playing as the conductor of the choir.
I made a note to myself of all their faces. I think I almost cried right there. It was totally nice of these almost strangers to throw me a party, buy me a cake and get me presents. No one has ever been this nice to me, ever. I knew then I found myself a second family with this crew.
I looked down at the candles and knew I had to come up with a wish. Nobody knows this until now, but I wished that Carrie would find a girlfriend. I blew out all my candles, so there is a chance that it came true. Hopefully it did.
The cake was totally awesome. I had to even finish other peoples slices. I am such a sugar hog.
Then it was time to open presents. I first opened, the unopened gift. Two comic books; John Constantine: Hellblazer and Cherrys Jubilee. I flipped through the book when I got it. Everyone was smiling at me. I didnt know why. I read the Cherrys Jubilee the next day and must say it was pretty hot. Now I know why they were giggling. I have read some the Constantine book and it wasnt that interesting to me.
The first wrapped gift was a cheap camera and step counter. Both of which came from boxes of Rice Crispies. Hmmm. Now where did they get a couple of boxes of Rice Crispies? I havent used either; they just sit in a dresser draw right now.
I got a book. It is called Digital Fortress by Dan Brown, the author of The Da Vinci Code. It wasnt too bad of a book. It reminded me of a made for TV movie.
I also got a card box for my Magic cards, some plastic sheets for them, card condoms if you will, and some Magic cards. There were some really powerful cards in the one they gave me. I have put all my cards into that box.
I also got some clay. I havent used that stuff yet either. I might come in handy sometime.
After I was done with the gifts, I decide to move them over to where my backpack was. When I did, Carrie slaps my ass. Carries was to give me some birthday spanking as her thing todo before she got cake. Better late then never.
We played some more card games.
Then the attendees signed my birthday card. Here is what each wrote:

Happy 25th Sweetest Til
I hope this year is full
of wonderful things. Youre a
beautiful person.
NOTE: This was Carries addition. She didnt sign it.
AUTHORS NOTE: This made me cry when I read it again while writing this background story.
After everyone had a chance to sign my card, Teri and Barry left. I packed up my presents and cake, but not before Carrie took some for herself, Jerry and Carrie drove me home. In the car I asked if Carrie still wanted to come with me to look at houses when I was ready to find my own place. She had asked me before in an email. I agreed to bring then, I just wanted to make sure she remembered. She said she would.
When they dropped me off. Carrie got out of the car with me, and gave me a really big hug and kissed me on my cheek. I kissed her on her cheek too. She is so sweet to do that too.
I later read her journal and she said that she was throwing a birthday party for an angel of a friend. I had a warm feeling in me when I read that.
