Timeline update:
I had to write the ground and found it really long. I am going to spend Thursday, Friday and Saturday to get the background story out. I apologize to you the readers. The day-by-day account will start on Sunday now.
Now, let us start with a list of the main characters:
- Carrie
Carrie would have to be the leading actress in this story. She is the one I am going to be talking about the most. Carrie is a 27 years young American, from Texas in fact, that came to Canada to be with the love of her life. She is married to the love of her life and is polyamorous. She is outspoken about her life and her opinions. She is shy and intelligent, she reads books, loves games and is interested about medicine. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
Physically, Carrie 55 and is a claims to be a redhead, even though I have only seen her with blonde hair. She has a great smile and lights up a room when she walks in. She is slightly over weight, but in no means fat. She has a couple of unique piercings and tattoos. I always thought that she would be a good model for SG. In fact, if you look around you might even see a picture of her.
When this story begins Carrie is still waiting for her residency. That is right, you can marry a Canadian and still not be able to find work here in Canada. Silly. Most of her days are spent in front of her computer, in front of her TV or doing something for free. I would say that she is a bigger geek than I am. She spends way more time online that I do too, and I spend a lot.
- Jerry
Jerry is Carries husband. He is a computer nerd to the max. Jerry loves taking old computers and finding functionality for them. Jerry is a 33 years young man and Calgary born and raised (I have to give props to the city I live in
). He too is polyamorous along with his wife. This guy is also one of the funniest guys I have ever met. He is also got a joke up his sleeve or a funny story to tell. This dude always cracked me up.
Jerry, at 61, always seemed taller to me. I dont know what it was that makes me think that, he just had a presence about him. When I met him he was bald, shaven bald. I would even go as far as say he was quite handsome. He is also a very sweet and romantic guy, any womans dream guy. I know why Carrie fell in love with him. But that is not my story to tell
Jerry, at the time was a professional computer geek. This guy did it all. Sysadmin, software development, hardware. The guy loved the technology. But he worked like 60 hours a week. I always respected him for that. I also worried about the guy for working long hours too. I didnt want him to work till he burned out and starts neglecting his wife and his happiness.
- Mary
Mary is the roommate of Carrie and Jerry. There were actually four people living in the house. They doubt it Chez Geek. But I digress. Mary is a nice, cute girl and a lesbian. She too understood the polyamorous and was a practicing member too I believe. She is just as fun as Carrie. In fact I would say they are the same person in the way they talked and in the way they acted. They are two peas in a pod. They share many of the same interests. It is no wonder why they are friends.
Mary is a brunette with a great laugh. She is a big girl, but I think she is cute.
Mary is a student and is studying archaeology at university. I think she is in her 6th year the last time I checked. Hopefully she is doing well with her studies.
- Teri
Teri well, I dont know how to describe her relationship to Jerry. They are definitely friends. No doubt about that. They both have a huge interest in technology, movies, books ahd theatre. They have long conversations about everything. She had been called a pseudo-girlfriend but I never actually heard if she became his girlfriend. I hope she did. She made Jerry happy.
Teri is another nice girl. Pear shape is what I would describe her, but still cute. She is very outspoken about her opinions and is also one of those Americans that came to Canada. She came here by running away from home and to follow love. She had gotten married and divorce. In the mean time she also get her residency.
Interesting fact, which will come in handy later, Teri and Carrie were born four days apart, where Teri being the older of two. I could see there were many similarities between Carrie and Teri. Similar history, similar tastes in men. I see why they became friends.
- Barry
Barry is Teris boyfriend. He is a self-proclaimed asshole, but every time I have talked to him, Barry had been nothing but a gentleman. He was working as a projectionist as a local, small time theatre. You know the ones that play indie films and documentaries. He is 37 and has the wisdom and grace of a man twice his age.
He stands at 510 and has long grey hair. He also seems to have a very distinguished look about him. Very old fashion and suave, like something from the 1930s.
- Clyde
Clyde is my realtor. I wont go into too much detail about him. His part would be played by some guy in his early 30s, tall and clean shaven. This part I would probably give to some well-known actor as cameo. He is important but super important.
Supporting cast ************
- My brother, my mother, my father, my uncle and my aunt
These guys might show up from time to time in the this story, but they play no role in the outcome of the story. They are just there.
- Me
I shouldnt have to describe myself too much. I am a longed haired, code monkey. At the start of this story, I have only heard of polyamory and it peaked my curiosity. I have talked to people online about it a few times in the past year, but I have never had a chance to put it into practice.
We all have our panic buttons. These buttons make us lose all self-control and we act like complete lunatics. They make us shutdown and force ourselves into an protective shell, or they make us go ballistic and results in hurting ourselves, out environment and even the people around us, which are usually the people we love. I have two said panic buttons, and you will see both of them be put to use. One in as a shutdown and one as a blowup.
