Back from Reading.
Getting there was a fucking saga. We'd planned to go up Wednesday, take eveyones tents and pitch the camp ready for everyone else. Tuesday comes and goes - No tickets. Gemsy's mum orderd them so we end up leaving home at 7.30 on Wednesday morning to wait at her mum's house fot them to show up. Postman comes at 11 - still no tickets so we phone the booking company only to be told "oh, there wasn't time to send them all out, you'll have to pick them up from the gate" bearing in mind, they could have told us this the day before so we then have to go get Mr Gemsy and drive up to Reading. Ran a few errands en-route and ended up getting to the festival about 1. Parked the car and went to grab some food then got in this big que for tickets.
I asked if there was a seperate que for collections and was told "No". 3 hours of queing, a few beers and a lot of banter with some blokes in the que with us we hear "If you're collecting tickets because they weren't despatched on time there's a seperate que with 6 people in it"
So by the time this is done, we've driven to the other side of Reading to prk, trapesed back to where we started, queed that end and found a space we end up with the three of us trying to put up the most oversized tent ever in the dark.
Thankfully the festival itself was better. I fucking loved seeing the Manics, I was such a fangirl of them a few years ago and never saw them so me & Gemsy ended up pogoing like twats and screaming our heads off armed with a fether boa.
Saw QOTSA, Rage - Fucking Rage!!!, Metallica, Tenacious D, a bit of Feeder, Jubiliee and some other things on the littler stages. Got bottled to fuck during Rage, yes it was warm, yes I've been covered in some strangers piss and yes it took about 45 minutes in the shower when we got back.
Gotta eat more stuff.

Cheers! I'm paranoid that no one will want to hire me between my appearance and my five year employment gap. It really put it into perspective earlier when I realised I haven't worked since just before my eldest niece was born, who just started school.

Thank you! It's kind of daunting, but on the other hand I know I'll be good at the job and even if I hate it it's just until I feel comfortable working and have enough money to move. x
