Just got back from a long weekend of Download and partying in Manchester. Velvet Revolver twice in a weekend.
Major problem with it. I fell on my arse and sprained my ankle on the Friday so I've spent most of the weekend hobbling around or sitting out the way of the crowd because I couldn't stand.
Was kindof okay by Monday, managed to stay standing for all of Velvet Revolver.
And in a further update to "the git of a mate that owes me rent" saga. He gave me 200, still owed me 130 so I gave him my bank details and asked him to pay it all into my account as I left last Thursday. I check my account on Sunday (hoping to get some money out) and its 130 over the overdraft. I got home and find 90 from him next to the kettle.
So the group of blokes I went up with have offered variously to kneecap hip, "have a word" and (my favourite, from his best friend) "ring me if he won't pay up, I'll pop over and give him a kicking".
Bless em. I love knowing that if someone tries to take the piss with me I've always got some backup.
So he still owes me 40, I checked my bank account and found that thanks to his lateness I'll be charged 170 by the bank next month, and I don't make enough to cover it all.
So he's paying me another 210 or the boys are coming round.
And I'm burning his stuff. I'll keep the stereo.
