i long for the day when i will have a vehicle younger than 10 years old. or i live in a town where i don't need to drive AND don't feel the need to escape from as frequently as possible.
anyone have a car they want to give me?

car update: so, even tho i just had the brakes and rooters replaced 2 years ago, apparently, they needed it again...$340 later. i just spent $2000 on it last fall...what do i do? for the amount of money i'm putting into it every few months, you'd think i could just buy a newer car...but somehow that just doesn't feel possible. at least this time i don't think i'll have to borrow the money.
funny thing, my dear friend andres, who just moved to san diego after living with us for 3 years, randomly left me a message tonight saying that someone in berkeley has a bio diesel car that they're giving away...the transmission needs to be fixed, but otherwise.
however, it's a 1982, and the one i have now is an '89.
anyone know how to fix transmissions? anyone want to be my ongoing mechanic?
