When a social butterfly's wings get tired is that is when you actually see the beauty of the social creature or her wings? - while it is at rest? Or is it's beauty only noticed when they are actually in motion touching all the flowers?
Why do people usually only notice the quick flight of a social butterfly? People smile at the random happiness it brings, but take it for granted sometimes too. Of couse a butterfly is here, it is supposed to be here, always is. When it isn't, is it because the wings are broken? Why can't a social butterfly just be at rest and be as captivating without being captured?
Just because a social butterfly is at rest and the wings are not fluttering as fast -why is it to be assumed that the butterfly is not still being social? A social butterfly at rest is rare - as is a butterfly at rest, a patient heartbeat flap of the wings, enough to let all know what needs to be known.
Beauty can go unnoticed, it can be right infront of your face, sometimes looking back at you. Whimsey, playful curiosity, the desire to touch, the dance and movement, it can take flight at the bat of an eyelash be gone without ever you knowing it was a precious gift that only you held.
In flight or sitting still, the treasure is within the stillness. Not that it isn't a treasure to have those special moments and touches. A social butterfly is lesser without the flowers in it's world that add to it's life. Because what would a butterfly do if it couldn't fly? Any moment with a butterfly, be it short or the rare long. I say rare not because I try to hide, but because I want to be out there with many of you. A small world with small walls can be like water on ones wings.
