Acacia Update: The rollercoaster continues. Last weekend she was released from the ICU. She was removed from all breathing apparatus and was able to breath first through her trach and later through her nose. The trach was plugged and she began to talk. The she had another relapse and was sent back to the ICU with a lot of fluid in her lungs. Yesterday she got better again and they are thinking she might leave the ICU in a few days. Overall, things continue to look up.
On my end I have enjoyed a few days of glory, rest and lots of silliness after winning NaNoWriMo. A few of my friends here also completed the task. Cheers to all of you! We need to have a SG Team party or something.
I began doing a little editing. The first thing that I had to do was change the name. For now the name has changed to Gypsy Blue[\I] which fits better that the original working title. I have had to replace the name of most characters to protect the innocent and not so innocent, since some of it is based on real people. I will be editing for a while. In the meantime, my next story looms in my head. I have the main character and the premise. I am eager to write it because the main character makes me uncomfortable and he is in my head. He needs to get out. I think at least Allegro and TinyHobo will know what I mean.
At work I have the two biggest projects of my life going at the same time. I have been able to reassign one of them to someone in my team, who is back from a long absence after a kidney transplant. However, the other one remains mine and it is killing me. I hate managing projects and that is all my job has now become. I am now actively looking to change jobs and possibly move. The girl has said that she is now willing to move, as well. That is quite interesting. (I know, litlin74!)
I am refusing to celebrate christmas this year. However, family will not go with me, so the girl and I will be heading to Pennsylvania to celebrate with the christians there. The best part is that I am taking the dog, so while people are caroling or whatever weird christmas things people do I will be tossing the frisbee and going on long dog hikes. Call me antisocial!

Allright, I want to know where the story is, I want to know what you won and I want to know if your mother called you dammitsid when she got mad.

thora:
Yeah, I'll be volunteering myself as company for my friend undergoing chemo since she celebrates the holiday. I'm more of a Winter Solstice kind of girl, myself. Congrats again on NaNo! I'm starting a sequel to Evangeline since I've already had a few requests to do so. As for the hair, it's too chilly to chop, anyway.
