It's been a week since the last blog. It is time to write something else.
How about some things about me?
I was born in Bogota, Colombia. I moved to New York City at the age of 13. I was brought up Catholic, but I am much better now. On my mother's side I have Sephardim roots. Which makes me an ethnic Jew, among other things. I am now a practicing Buddhist. I have been a vegetarian for 15 years or so.
Bogota, Colombia

I love music, even though I am tone deaf. Good thing I love punk! I have a huge CD collection that has taken over a room in my house. Actually, I have thrown out all the jewel cases, so they take less room. The books are the ones that have really taken over the room.
I married my college sweetheart. We have been together for 22 years. She was my first and only girlfriend that knew as much about music as I did and yet she did not have a mohawk or was a skinhead (not the nazi kind). We have been married for 17 years. We have always known we did not want any kids. Instead we share our lives with some great cats and dogs. We lost our beloved Doberman 2 years ago. We may be getting another one soon!
My beloved little girl...I miss her

I have three college degrees. My bachelors is in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in English Literature. My other two degrees are in business. I am an expert in business process management. I won't bore you with what that means. I want to be a writer instead. I have published a few short stories and poems, under a pseudonym a very few people know about. Check out The Sun Magazine, they have published me a few times.
I love sports and grew up playing Football (otherwise known as Soccer). I have played every position even goalie. Since college I have traded my cleats for running and bicyling. I have been threatening to do a half-ironman but I am a horrible swimmer, so I have not.
I am a huge Liverpool Football Club (English Premier League) supporter. I also follow FC Koln in Germany and The New England Revolution in the USA. I also support The New York Jets and the New York Yankees (although I do not follow baseball and American football very closely). For the past few years I have become a huge fan of Aussie Rules Football. The Kangaroos are my team. Sadly they did not make it to the grand final. My beloved Roos were smashed by Port Adelaide today. All in all they had a great campaign.
I speak fluent Spanish and English. Once upon a time I spoke German, but it has left my puny little head. I still understand written German, and I speak a bit of Italian (my paternal grandmother was Italian).
I have been visiting SG for a few years, but only became a member in June this year. It is has been a lot fun. I feel like I have finally found a place that feels like home. I have met some fantastic people on here. Your creativity blows me away. It is amazing the friendships I have already forged on here.
So what do you think? Is Sid who you thought I was?

I adore you . I wish me, you and the lovely lady could all get together for drinks and soap box debates.
