Please excuse my absense. I have been sick with...something. Stomach flu is my guess. I was up-chucking for pretty much Mon. through Wed. Now I feel all weak and empty. My joints are sore and I can't really focus all that well. I hate being sick. I feel so weak as compared to when I used to do nothing but train, train, train. I was like a tightly wound bundle of steel cables wrapped in flesh. Ripped. Now...bleh. Oh well. Guess there's only one thing to do. Sit back, and let nature have its way with me? NAY, good sir! Training regiment kicks back into gear as of tonight when I return to my abode. Approx. 9:15pm.
Other news. Fearless comes out tomorrow and I am stoked. Not as much as I thought I would be. Most of you know those Hong Kong flicks are out months, even years, overseas before they're released here. I hunted down a bunch of the movie on youtube. I'm sure a number of the fight scenes will be sick, but tinged with the typical Jet Li/Wo Ping timing, ie; fast action, then slow mo cam shot of a connection, deflection, or joint lock of some sort, then back to regular motion for the impact or follow-through. I'm actually a bit more excited for The Protector with Tony Jaa. It's actually Ong Bak 2, but they made it its own movie over here. Don't worry. As in most martial arts flicks, there's not a whole lot of plot you have to actually follow to know, or care in the least, about in this movie. Just watch Jaa display some of the most insane martial arts ability and prowess of the decade.
Frank Miller fans! The trailer for the movie based on Miller's graphic novel 300 is out now on the net. It's just over 3 mins long and the quality of the video isn't the greatest, but I must say it still looks veeeeeery delicious indeed. BEHOLD MORTALS! 300!
