I keep trying to get my mom to quit smoking pot and cigarettes. She constantly hangs out with my boyfriends dad, all he ever does is smoke both those things. Whenever I bring it up about her quitting is in front of him, that's the only time I see her anymore. He always says, "oh you're mom doesn't need to quit. At least she's not addicted to something horrible."
The fuck she isn't! Cigarettes are going to be the death of my mother. It's what killed her dad and what is killing her sister. Somehow she doesn't relate that to herself and just continues to light up like it's nothing. I fucking hate my boyfriend's father right now. He needs to keep his fucking mouth shut.
I love my mother and I'm just trying to help her. I'm not punishing her for something she didn't do.

i had huge confrontations with my mom about pot when i was 13 and 14. she would consistently not have enough money to have my brother and i stay at her house when we were supposed to, and she would smoke weed and cigarettes all the time. she's so addicted to weed. she smokes it 4+ times a day. i'm trying to get my boy to quit smoking too.
