so after all this bullshit on the site the last few days, i think i'm just going to forget about being a hopeful. why put pictures up on the internet of my nakedness (for free, forever!) if i'm pretty damn sure i won't go pink? the FP trend has been, as someone aptly put, victorias secret models with tattoos and piercings.
now dont get me wrong, i'm definitely not "hating" on these girls. they are all gorgeous, and deserve to be pink. my issue is, it's all been the same type of girl, same type of photography, etc. where's the variety?
i was so excited when i joined the site. i saw all the gorgeous, confident SGs and hopefuls and thought, that could be me! but after seeing the front page the last few months, i have to wonder where the site is headed. and i know that because i'm relatively new, one could argue that i have no idea what i'm talking about. but when i see great hopefuls like RedHen, who got fucked out of a shoot with a staff photographer when that is exactly what she was promised, and Alyeska, whose set, Everlasting Light was so gorgeous and well loved that it definitely should have made front page, but hasn't.... well that just makes me sad. i feel like i came to the site too late, and maybe a few years ago i might have had a shot. i came onto the site with such high hopes, and now i feel like my "dreams" were crushed.

i know i'm ranting, but i've been reading most of the threads about all this stuff going on "behind the curtain". i think a lot of the hopefuls (and the SGs) have a reason to be upset about all this.


and with that, i feel like i have run out of things to say.
