Well, I got my nipples re-pierced yesterday.
I'm less than thrilled to say the least.
They were supposed to be at an angle. One in each, essentially forming a V.
Yea, they're more than crooked. But I guess in the piercer's defense, it was the first time that he ever did an angled piercing. It still shouldn't be an excuse!
The right one looks like its going to fall out the side of my nipple. The top hole is perfect, but the bottom one is at the center of the nipple. It looks like a vertical hole gone awry.
The left one, omg did it hurt. And after inspecting it, the top hole is in my aerola, not the nipple. Also, Ben said that when the piercer went to put the ring in, the needle fell out. Yea, that hurt.
I'm also a bit pissed because he pierced it with a 16 gauge. I didn't think of asking until AFTER it was done. My fault I guess.
I'm not mentioning where I got it done at because last time I did a negative post about a tattoo/piercing parlor, I got bitched at. (freekshow1981 knows)
And here's the aftercare instructions:
YOU WILL NEED: ANTI-BACTERIAL SOAP, COTTON SWABS, BACTINE, TRIPLE ANTI-BIOTIC OINTMENT
CLEANING:
1. SOAP A COTTON SWAT AND CLEAN THE SURROUNDING AREAT THOROUGHLY, WHILE ROTATING THE JEWELRY, RINSE AND PAT DRY.
2. EITHER SPRAY OR APPLY BACTINE WITH A COTTON SWAB AND ROTATE JEWELRY.
3. APPLY A SMALL DAB (ABOUT HALF THE SIZE OF A MATCHHEAD) OF TRIPLE ANTI-BIOTIC OINTMENT AND ROTATE THE JEWELRY.
4. CLEAN PIERCINGS 4 TIMES A DAY (DO NOT OVER USE THE OINTMENT).
ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS CALL US FIRST (724) 468-****, WE KNOW MORE ABOUT IT THEN YOUR FRIENDS.
note: the "then" is how it is written on the aftercare sheet, it's not a typo.
I heard that Bactine and any kind of anti-biotic ointments were evil. And I'm not saying from my friends. I'm talking about from previous piercers and reading online. (I like to think that BME is a highly reliable source.)
So I've been cleaning it twice a day with Dial liquid soap. I think that 4 times a day is too much. I believe in letting piercings heal on their own.
My boyfriend keeps telling me to see what they look like when they heal before I decide to take them out or not.
We'll see.
